not an inventor by any means either but if the flow sensor is at the mouthpiece instead of battery compartment you would almost have to have it in a seperate air channel due to the condensation that builds up in the mouthpiece beings the liquid getting to it would be the origional problem

not trying to be a negative nancy but the issue would still be there unless the two channels were kept seperate to eliminate the origional problem

good luck in your inventing and hope you find something that works

Sorry for going off topic, an idea struck me. Do you think it would be possible to rig an airflow sensor to vv circuits in a way that voltage would increase with a more powerful draw. I have no need for such a device, but the cigarette-like operation might make the product even more compelling for smokers

Sure.

The sensor takes an input voltage (this is not an assumption, but a certainty) and uses the pressure difference to generate the signal to the output pin(s) (I'm sure you can find one that does this through Mouser, DigiKey, etc.)

Take that output voltage, run it into a microchip to output the signal to the boost controller (if you got cute with a supply voltage, resistor, and transistor running in the bias region you could probably skip the microchip, but transistors can be touchy and the design wouldn't be particularly reproduce-able due to differences between transistors even of the same run).

The boost controller then increases the voltage based on the input.

Easy-peasy.

Well, OK, no, but doable, and no worse than, say, pulse width modulation via a resistive input.

if it was in a separate channel it could work maybe? could i use a 510 auto switch even if its not the same place the carto is connected?

Sure. As long as the air channel isn't shared with the vaporizer output, no problem--you just need two air channels.
