So I recently purchased a bottle of the Sapphire-25 concentrated nicotine salt additive. It is suppose to be used to create a 15ml bottle of 25 mg nic salt eliquid, if you just add any 0mg liquid Into the little bottle which the Sapphire-25 mic salt mix comes in. It contains 0.9ml of pg, nicotine. But what I want to do is use this bottle to make a 0mg 60ml bottle of liquid I have into a 3 my mix. That being said I have never done any DIY projects before and thought this would be the most simple way and easiest way to get my feet wet. I have no idea how much of this Sapphire-25 mic salt concentrate I need to use to make this 60ml 0mgbottle into a 3mg. Or if I even have enough of the concentrate to do so? Any tips? In a very new to the site this is actuallyy first time on the site. Im glad I found this forum though because what I have seen on here so far is AMAZINGGG!! Any tips or advice on what I need to do from here? I would grrrreatly appreciate it. Thanks and Vape on!

Hi and welcome,
WOW,
Okay, maybe my maths are off, but .9ml of nicotine to make 15ml of 25mg/ml final product, would have to be over 400mg/ml (approx 415mg/ml).
You would only need .45ml of the Sapphyre 25 at 415mg/ml to make your 60ml @ 3mg/ml.

Please be extra careful with the nicotine. It is only about 20 drops, but it is VERY strong.

Hello Joshua...welcome to the friendly bunch :)

Probably the best thing to do is to add PG into the nic salt. That's the easiest way to know the resulting strength which will be 25mg/ml in a 15ml quantity PG base.

If you then put that in the ELR calculator as using that strength nic to make 60ml liquid at 3mg/ml it gives the following:

Nicotine juice 25 mg (100% PG) 7.20ml or 7.46g which is 12.00% of the final mix.

PG dilutant 10.80ml or 11.19g which is 18.00% of the final mix.

VG dilutant 42.00ml or 52.97g which is 70.00% of the final mix.
so...

Total base is 60ml or 71.62ml which is 100.00% of the final mix.

NB. You either use weight or ml to measure the correct amounts. Weight is easier but you can measure with a syringe for the ml if you don't have a scale. This is worked out on a 70% VG 30%Pg ratio which is a common liquid ratio for most people.

I hope that helps and it effectively means that you have enough nicotine to make approx 2 60ml bottles.

Don't forget that this will give you a flavourless mix so if you are adding flavouring you need to minus the mils quantity off the PG amount.

I hope the picture is clear enough, but it says. 0.9 ml. And the bottle is practically empty

Ok then Izan is correct it is very strong eg roughly 40% of the included nic is pure nicotine. Be very careful with it.

My suggestion still stands add PG instead of flavoured liquid and then you will have a 25 mg/ml or 2.5% salt nic liquid which you can then go ion to use as I discussed.

40% nicotine is very toxic indeed. Do not under any circumstances spill any of this on your skin. I used to use black leaf 40 to delouse my game chickens back in the day. This was 40% nicotine sulfate. And there were strict warnings on the label as to how deadly this concentration was. I would mix a small amount of this with a copious amount of vaseline to make a salve to kill/prevent chicken lice and mites. 40% is nothing to play around with.
