I'm glad I found this thread. I just started using refillable cartridges yesterday, and am suprised to see how quickly the 30ml bottle is disappearing. In about 24 hours I've gone through over 3 cartridge refills and about 1/10 of the bottle of 24mg liquid. That seems about on par for most people, but since I'm new to this I'm not quite sure if I'm being wasteful somehow by overfilling/underfilling the cartridges, but I've noticed they also leak a little, so that may be part of why they seem to need refilling so often.

Also, I use to smoke hand-rolled 'pipe' tobacco, so at $14 for a 1 lbs bag, it looks like e-juice alone is going to cost me twice as much every month. I'll look into mixing my own as someone on this thread suggested, but as a cheapskate this upsets me. >:D But hey, it's better than cancer, right?

I use upwards of 5 ml a day, but I chain-vape at work. More typical is what others have been saying, 2-3 ml/day, or 90 ml a month. Your 75 ml is right in there, sounds pretty typical.

Yes, vaping beats smoking, hands-down. If you get into DIY, total juice cost ends up being about $4 - $4.50/30ml for good stuff, 24 mg strength, all costs included. I've hit $6/30ml only for some really high flavor things, using a bit less common flavorings at high %.

I noticed that, too. However, I have saved money in the long run by buying more flavors at once. I made my juice range from chocolates and red wine, to fruits and mint, and I'm actually saving a lot of juice and money. :)

It can be dirt cheap if you make it yourself! Like 20 cents a day:) I just bought during a sale at voidmist.com and got enough nicotine and VG to last me 8 months- for $34!! That's 14 cents a day actually! The flavorings are pretty cheap too from Perfumer's Apprentice.

Just watch for the sales on the nic juice. I go to the "Deals and Steals" thread here all the time to see what the big sales are today. It's in the PIF forum. Here's a link:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward/85781-deals-steals.html

Go to the last page to see the deals of the day:)

If you don't want to DIY though, MadVapes has some 50ml sizes for $10 and VaporRenu has 30ml sizes for $7.49.

I'm a juice PIG. With HV and dripping i go thru 7-10ml / day when in the home office pretty easily. Little less when working on the road but never less than 5ml/day....I buy about 200ml/mth premade and mix the rest to save coin but still WAY less than what i was spending on ciggys.

what nic level are you smoking at??

Yes - I also made my own cigs with "pipe" tobacco same price/lb too. I have spent (so far) into about 3 or 4 years worth of that and I'm cheep as well. I get what you're saying but finally, it is much better for my health and I can sit in friends houses and vape, I can vape many places where I would have had to step outside - I live in WI so that means something!

I was so embarrassed to post what I vape, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I have to lower my nic intake as the day goes on or it's just too much. I shall not put what I do vape, but really DIY is the way to go. One of my "go to" vapes was Vaporbomb Max Ultimate, but I can go through a 30ml bottle in less than a week and a half plus vaping other things as well. So I bought some of the flavoring from Liberty Flights to see if I could DIY it, it turned out well for me. So I just bought a bottle a 30ml bottle of flavoring from ecigexpress and caught that sale on unflavored nic juice at myfreedomsmokes and I'm set for a good 4-5 months with Max Ultimate at 12mg.

I broke it down and with all the costs-including shipping, VG, and 100 proof- it comes out to about $3 a bottle- so overestimating my usage at 30ml/week it's only about $12 per month on juice.

It really makes me appreciate vaping when I actually do figure up the cost compared to smoking analogs, and yet, I always feel like "Do I really need this?" when I'm buying things for vaping. Crazy when it wouldn't bother me at all to go to the gas station on a daily basis and plunk over more than $9 for 2 packs of cancer sticks.

Do budget a bit more for your first month - m
any people simply loose some due to non-perfect refilling etc, plus, many vape some more in their first few weeks, too.

I have to agree with you on this. I wasted a lot of e-liquid during my first month of vaping. I would fill my cartos too much and then would have to blow out half of the e-liquid so that I wouldn't end up with a mouth full of liquid or a wet batt. Anyway, I guess it's all about trial and error. It gets better.

Since starting this thread, I think I finally figured out a ballpark figure of my e-liquid use. It's been almost two months and I vape approximately 4ml a day between 12mg-18mg of e-liquid. That averages out to about 120ml a month. I like to vape all day so anything higher than 12mg to 18mg has to be dilute. If the mg is higher, I use way less and can only vape a few times a day. I've also learned that my usage really depends on the quality and the vg to pg ratio of the e-liquid. I tend to use less ml at a 50/50 ratio. I've also started dabbling with DIY.

wow i feel like i'm constantly vaping but I go through about 30 ml a month, maybe I'll tap into the second bottle after only 3 weeks but that's rare. i can't even imagine 200 ml/month!

my usage increased substantially when i made the move to HV in Feb of last year....probably close to doubled.

Like i posted, my consumption rate went up a lot when moved over to HV device but i like TH and big vapor so the cost of the juice is secondary.

Here are some other sources i have found to be ok...
Xtremevaping has pretty good prices on mixing nic in range of 25mg to 100mg/ml. Their base nic is always crystal clear.
Bluemistvapor has good prices on unflavored nic as well but their last shipment was kool aid pink.
LibertyFlights with the 20% off link at the top of the site 30ml 7.99 not too bad in a pinch.
I have tried almost every single flavoring made i think and i still like the Health Cabin flavorings over all the best and they are pretty cheap if you order in bulk.
