How many watts can i use on my new Alien

Just bought an Alien and a cloud beast tank also bought Innokin 2500mah batteries rated at 30 amp. How many watts can I use safely. The coils are rated at 0.15 ohm.

I think I've worked it out and the answer is 120 watts am I correct.?

As far as the batteries go one site says continuous drain 20amps and one says 30amps. think it's more like 20.

I am currently charging my batteries . Haven't tried it yet . Just hope I can get enough power for the coils to perform.

Really hoping it's gonna be a step up from my Kbox 70 and Arctic tank . I only buy one mod every 6 months so hope I've made a good choice . Anybody care to comment on my calculations .?

Here's a vaping site with an ohms law calculator. Just plug in two of the values and it will tell you everything you need to know.

I think those batteries are around 20 amp cdr, so about 120 watt sounds about right.

I have a 200 watt Kbox with 2 Samsung 25r batteries rated at 20 amp cdr, and a Cloud Beast tank. I usually use it at 75-85 watts, with the occasional 125 or 150 watt hit, and it does just fine.

That sounds good I used an ohms law calculator to work it out . Shame they don't make a coil I can push all the way but probably don't need 200 watts anyway. I believe the innokin batteries are sanyo rewrapped batteries .
could really do with batteries that are 30 amp cdr . Do they exist?

I haven't heard of 30 amp cdr batteries.

If you take a moment to look at the coil the recommended wattage is listed on it.

just taking a look it says 50 to 260 watts best 120 to 180.

So I would start at about 25 watts after a good priming and see how it vapes until I found the sweet spot. I vape most of my coils below the recommended wattage except for the TC Coils then I will max them out.

Yes I'll do that batteries nearly charged now primed the coil and filled the tank . It does seem a bit daft though having a 220 watt mod and only being able to fire it up to 120 watts. The guy in the shop who sold it to me said I can use it right up to 220 watts with these batteries . he was either telling porkies or knew no better.

The T8 coil on the Cloud Beast says it's best between 120-180 watts, but I've found I get good clouds and flavor between 75-85 watts. But according to the ohm calculator I consulted, anything higher requires a battery cdr of 23+ amps, while my Samsung 25r batts are only rated at 20 amp cdr.

LG HB6. True 30a CDR at the cost of runtime with only 1500MAH.

120w is a pretty warm vape. Most high wattage vapers I know sit right around 120-150w with 25a CDR (Sony VTC5a) batteries.

Also, regulated mods are not governed by Ohms law. You should properly use Watts law A=W/V (-10% for the inefficiency of the board). For a 20A battery, that's roughly 60W, 120W for 2 in series. As mongo pointed out the LG HB6 are 30A batteries as tested by Mooch, but at expense of capacity. I've never heard of Innokin batteries before, and didn't know Innokin even marketed a battery.

Hmm well I've tried it and at about 100 watts . It says on the Alien it's drawing 26.7 amps under where it says amps. Does this sound right or is that for both batteries and I should halve it per battery.? Basically is it safe for me to vape it at a hundred watts. Don't want any of that thermal runaway stuff.
