How do you utilise a 200w device at the full 200w?!

Hi folks,

I've been vaping for 2 years now, and my device broke. So I decided to buy the snow wolf 200w mod as it was on offer :)

But how do you use the mod at the maximum 200w? I'm not saying I would use it at 200w, but I'm struggling to understand how you would use it at that? Is there a sub ohm tank with a certain coil that would allow you to vape away at 200w no problem?

What wattage are you used to vaping at and do you like it ? There are certain tanks that can handle high wattage but i much prefer lower wattage vaping.

Hi, I currently vape at 70w and I do like it. I use a TFV4 tank.
I now have the snow wolf. And I'm not saying I would use it at 200w, because I wouldn't (battery life/juice usage) but I was literally just wondering how someone would use a device at 200w? Is there a sub ohm tank you can use? Certain coil? Dripper? How do you utilise the full 200w?

Most 200 watt machines-- all two-battery ones I know of-- pulse the power above about 150 watts or so to stay within the battery's ability to deliver power; that is, they are not true 200 watt RMS continuous machines. They deliver 200 watts, yes, but in very short pulses with a rest inbetween. This doesn't actually matter much in practice because coils that will take 200 watts are usually pretty massive and they have a good bit of heat latency (they take a while to cool down after the power comes off). There are some three-battery mods-- the RX200 and the DNA200s leap to mind-- that can actually deliver 200 watts under load and keep it there. You really have to move into RTAs to make it work, though, and big ones. You need some pretty massive coils to withstand that, like 2 x 28/32 fused Claptons or something. As for how I use them personally, why, I crank the power down into the 40-90 watt range and have at it.

The quick answer is you don't. There are plenty of mathematical models that will get you to 200 watts, but you couldn't vape it longer than about a second because it would be so hot. And like Mr. Cromwell said, trying to do it on two 18650's is a joke. they always drop into pulse width modulation to sort of attain it. Probably the only people that will push that limit will be cloud chasers and probably only in competitions. It's sort of like owning a Porsche 911 Carrera. It will run 200 mph, but you'll probably never see it yourself.

Personally I've never built anything that I could vape over a 100 watts without singing my lungs and throat.
Same here.

I have a few 200w mods and anything over 100w is just for funzies for a couple of seconds. I generally vape in the 40-90 range with 0.2-0.5ohm coils.

I think you may have to go to an RDA to use that much power. don't know of any tank that has enough airflow to handle 200 watts. I vape at 10-20 watts and can't imaging vaping at 200 watts.
VCMT.... I have no doubt it has the airflow to run 200 watts... I did a build with claptons I ran in it for a weekish at 170 watts with no problem. Just to see what the massive watts hype was about and it's not for me. Back down to running between 50-75 depending on the tank.
