I bought juice from a vendor with very little reviews. I have to say that I got a pretty good deal on the Mod I bought as well as the juice. I do not want to disclose the vendor because I do not want hurt their business. The juices I got just tastes nasty. I ordered 50/50 mixes on all (big mistake!). I guess my issue is that the juice tastes like pepper. I am starting to think that I like sweeter VG juices. Can I do anything to reduce the harshness and get a sweeter vape? I was reading about adding pure VG will this make the juice sweeter and remove the nasty flavor? Please help I am very close to having an analog it is very frustrating :(

Just adding VG might help some but will cut the flavor all together. If you just want a sweeter vape, I would suggest going over here
The Flavor Apprentice Professional Flavors - One Stop DIY Shop Store
and buy a bottle of sweetener. Or if you don't want to put the work into it, you could head over to PIF and post it up on swaps. There are some great people over there.

If they're tobacco flavors, some fruit flavors can mix pretty well with them in small quantities. Apple and cherry are often good candidates in this case. Vanilla, as already suggested, works quite well with other unpalatable flavors than just tobaccos, too. I always keep some DIY vanilla flavor on hand, both for use in mixes and for softening less tasty flavors

Most of the juices I bought are tobacco flavored (flue cured, RY4, 555 and malb red usa). I ordered some new juices. I guess I should start buying from suppliers that have more reviews or more reputable. I did not think about the carto issue roach. I tried dripping the juice and it still tastes like poop. I guess i'm stuck until my new juices arrive. I also bought some flavor concentrates vanilla is the best bet. I got my fingers crossed.

Killjoy is right about fruit flavors mixing well with tobacco flavors. There are many Apple/Tobacco juices sold by vendors. I vaped a concoction of tobacco/apple/menthol for months. They were three separate pre-made juices that I purchased from vendors and mixed together. I added more tobacco or apple or menthol. Just depended on what I felt like. I loved it! You will be surprised at some of the flavors that you will just fall in love with.

The pepper hit you're getting is probably the nic base. The company you purchased from could have wonderful flavors but the nic base they're using might be wrecking them. I'm fairly new at DIY (started DIYing in August). The recipes that tasted great at 0mg would be horribly peppery and un-vapable after I added the nicotine base. I switched nic vendors and it made a remarkable difference. Hope you get it worked out soon and find your happy vape :)

I have a box full of bottles of juice I will never use. I suppose I could give them away but I doubt anyone else will like them either.

You would be amazed. Everyone's tastes are different. I offered swaps on some things that I thought were putrid and people snatched them up saying its one of their favorites. Different stokes for different folks...

I got a few flavors i didnt like at all from DFWvapor.com but dont get me wrong I got some rockin flavors from them to just my first go round order big bottles of what i thought sounded good since then I by little bottle at first even if I think I'll like it just in case can always buy bigger next time around
anyway the point is I combined I think it was 4 diff flavors that i didnt care for together and got a good mix so nothin wasted
I do have a tobacco that didnt have a name that i mix with menthol (by it self tastes like mint?) but when mixed it makes a good menthol cig......not a ment. cig smoker but nice change ever once in a while also I think using pure VG burns out attys fast at least thats my experiance. still working on a cig mix that i can deal with to use the tobacco i dont like.
thanks for thwe info on the sweetener I will look into it.

flowery or perfumey - steep it

weak - add the kind of pro flavoring ecig DIY uses

overflavored - mix with a good tobacco or a good sweet vanilla juice

don't like it - same as overflavored or just add some of a flavor you like

too bitter - add a sweet juice or add eliquid sweetener

too sweet - add to a tobacco or other non sweet flavor

after about 10 diff. juices tried by 3 diff. vendors I can say that anything other than a tobacco based flavor all of them taste really bad / overbearing and require at least a few days of steeping ( I'm assuming even longer according to the amount of e-liquid a bottle contains). So I don't even judge them until they had a chance to redeem themselves.

With that being said, I never had the issue of a peppery flavor so my post might not be useful on that department.

Somewhere out there

They may improve with time like suggested leaving the tops off. I have found juices totally change flavor in a week so not all maybe lost. Something I like to do is also add vanilla or caramel or butter rum or some nut flavor or sugar cream as others also suggested. Really brightens up some flavors. That peppery taste may disappear with time, I had that happen in some tobaccos I bought too. bnrk
