Hot car + juice + batteries= ?

I'm wondering what the effect of the heat in a hot car all day on e-juice and batteries? I usually keep a spare pv or juice and batteries in the car. It really gets hot in there.

Lats summer I had a lighter in the car sitting in the sun for a couple hours. When I got in the car I used it to light a cig and it turned into a flare. It took awhile for my eyebrows and eye lashes to grow back.

I would leave small bottles and just (1) extra battery in the car if you HAVE to. Heat nor light is good for juice. Heat is not good for batteries.

Heat can cause catostrophic failure in batteries. I would not keep them in the car

As far as juice, it will taste a little funky after awhile and the nic may degrade

I actually had a butane light explode in my hot car once. I wasn't in it at the time and it didn't do any damage. I just found the pieces. The juice may lose effectiveness and there's a chance it'll burst a plastic bottle. There's a lot better chance it'll just leak though. Heat does shorten the battery life and I understand it can also shorten the number of times they can be recharged. I don't know that heat can cause battery explosion but, if it can, the protection circuits won't help. They are there to stop overcharging and overdischarging.

Glad I read this because the last few days at work I've been leaving my bottle of juice + battery in my hot car because I can't vape at work so I leave it all in my car which is close to where I go out to vape.

Guess i'll just have to carry it all around now.

I would treat them like I would a cigarette lighter. If you need to leave themin a hot car place them in a compartment or under the seat.

There was a guy at my college that left a can of compressed air in the back window of his car during the summer. It got hot enough to make the can literally explode and it broke out three of his windows. I wouldn't leave a battery in a hot car. No way. Juice? Maybe if I simply forgot about it.

I just went thru this, and the best solution was to just find a way to bring my gear in to work. I carried my secondary pv& juice in an old glasses case, then put my main vape and juice in an extra pouch on my lunch kit.

I left my reo mini in the cupholder while I ran into the store I was only in there for about an hour or so man that sucker was hot when I came out. leaving it in the car in the summer may not be a good idea

The heat should make your juice (PG, VG or mix) a lot thinner. So when you try to use it hot, you should notice a problem. I would think that it is not going to wick properly and you might see leaks where there are usually none. The nicotine shouldn't degrade so fast that you will see a significant difference in a closed bottle, unless it takes you weeks to consume it.

What I would worry about is the battery. Most of the time, it will just shorten its life. But if there is the slightest defect it might explode (call it catastrophic failure).

I don't think it is very good for the liquid because from what I find e liquid tends to perform better when kept refrigerated i.e. more vapour, better throat hit and possibly lasting longer. so using this logic I can't see hot e liquid being a good thing!

1) That's what you get when you don't switch to e-cigs fast enough.

2) Juice nic degrades with heat AND sunlight. I try to keep it out of direct sun, try the glove box or something. Batteries probably not too much of an issue, but still, they can vent when they get hot (from over use/stress?) but I think the temps are real high. Anyway... keeping them out of the direct sun should work, I would guess. Atties, are designed to get hot, of course.

If you "need" to keep your stuff in your car put them in a small cooler with a small ice pack in a plastic baggy

Be careful of using the glove box, one of the automotive magazines did a study a few years ago and found temps as high as 250F in the dash on a 90deg day. May cause a plastic bottle to leak or crack.
