I don't currently smoke (16 wks smoke free) or vape (one month vape free) and I find that my voice goes hoarse at times. It goes away if I sip a drink or clear my throat but I never had this while smoking or vaping. What the heck?? I don't have any of the other symptoms of throat or esophageal cancer(ok, I COULD have cancer I suppose, but for the sake of argument, lets say that I don't) Will someone put my mind at ease and let me know this can be a side effect of snussing or stonewall useage??

I get some snus from time to time when I need to be in a smoke-free area for a lengthy amount of time, and I can say that I used to get a similar effect when I first started using them. I still do to a certain extent, but it's more of just a dried throat feeling than anything else. I generally keep something to drink with me when I'm using those things anyways, and that seems to help a lot.

Hmm, never can say I have had that issue, and I have been snusing for about 2 years rather regularly now. More then anything I know the weather can do that to me though, as well as changing altitude. Sitting at 7800 feet right now, and that will dry you out a lot if you do not constantly drink water.

i cant see why snus would do that unless you are swallowing juice and not realizing it. Dry your lip out on the back of ur hand before u put in snus and keep the dripping to a minimal see if that helps. U might be swallowing the juice

With snus, it doesn't matter if you swallow the the juice, because usually there isn't much juice anyway. Some snus is juicier than others...so if you think the juices are the problem, might I suggest trying the Lab Series 01 or 02, which have a very pleasant no-drip formula.

A few years back when I first tried camel's snus, I got a scratchy throat and the occasional hiccups, very similar to what I would get from nicotine gum. Never felt any of these symptoms from any swedish snus.

I will try those with my next order, thank you for the suggestion. The wait for my Northerner order seems to take FOREVER!! (it's only been a week, actually)

W Axl Rose, My last order from Northerner surprising came from the US warehouse and only took 3 days! Wow! Or I should say part of it, they split the order and I had to pay shipping for both locations...this time I did it, but I'll rethink double shipping in the future.

But, I've found to get to me in the states from Sweden - 4 weeks:(

Can you tell which warehouse they shipped from?

That is a LONG time!! If my order takes that long I think I'm going to cry!! I don't know how to tell which warehouse they shipped from, where would that info be on the invoice they emailed me?

You might go back to Northerner and look up your invoice. I'm guess it's Sweden because I saw right before I paid the two shipping charges where it was coming from and I was surprised to see it coming from the US for part of it.

I had to go look mine up because I would have swore it was 6 weeks - felt that long and it was 4 weeks. Whew!
