Hi.. What to do if ecig is vibrating while charging?

Hi all I was charging my mvp & when I touched it, it was vibrating. I turned the power off & put it in the other socket on the same outlet but that vibrated also. Turned the power off & touched it without unplugging and it was vibrating. Should I try in another outlet? I almost did but thought I might be pushing my luck.

Now THAT is a loaded question...many things come to mind... but I digress. I really have no idea. Is the charging unit the one that came with your device?

when charging, is your mvp set on a surface that is in contact with a fan?


anything set on my pc "vibrates" slightly due to the fans inside - i made a "table" for a friend out of CD cases, it has a fan under it and causes every that sits on the table to "vibrate", inclusing a glass of water - you can see the waves

Only thing I can think of is if something is loose. I assume it is stepping the voltage up or down. These transformers could do that. Either way, kind of creepy

hummm...not sure...sounds like you may be having ashort or grounding issue with your battery...

I would make a joke but it sounds pretty serious. I'd probably be replacing my equipment, just to be safe, and contacting the vendor.

I wouldn't use it. That could be a symptom of a coil in the charging circuit going bad.

I use the usb charging cable that came with it & my phone charger as the MVP2 didn't come with a charger.

It wasn't by any fans. Had it in a biscuit tin lid. Slightly sloped into the tin as the charger doesn't fit in it as well.

It charged from flat (usually around 3.6 or 3.7) to 4.1 (about 2 or so hours). Normally finishes at 4.2 but lately it goes up to 4.3 before it's finished then reads back at 4.2 when finished. Maybe that's was a sign that the mvp is faulty? I had used it as a passthrough while charging about 5 separate times without any vibration. At those times I didn't feel any heat from the MVP & very minimal heat from the charger. In the past the charger has gotten pretty warm - but may have been another charger. All seemed to be good until until I checked it that last time.

Had someone measure the outlet voltage & it read at some number when turned off instead of 0. I don't know if that could have anything to do with it since it gives the correct output when turned on. Could it have been the outlet?

So I'll order a new mvp. Can I use this one now until it runs flat (as it was partially charged) before throwing it away? Or is it dangerous using it even while it's not charging?

hummm...not sure...sounds like you may be having ashort or grounding issue with your battery...

+1 watch the youtube vid where a batter vents.... you will always double check your equipment every day .... and thats a good thing!

What do you check every day? Just use a voltage meter on the ecigs? And the warmth while charging. Anything else you check?

If you have not had this long, I would call the vendor for sure. I never experienced this with mine. I would "err on the side of caution" on this one. Just my 3¢ (inflation)

I would definitely contact your vendor and see if you can get a replacement before you buy a new one. Try to save $ first. where did you get it from? Most vendors are great when it comes to this kind of thing. I would be horribly afraid to use it or charge it any longer. Is this your one and only mod/battery? I've had ego batteries that had a tingle to them when charging when I touched them - I wouldn't call it a vibration, it's too small for that. They've always worked OK though, so I stopped worrying about it.

Me too. Most of my eGos had a tingle.

Vibrating MVP though is not good.

I know if my batteries started vibrating I'd probably trash them or call a paranormal investigator
