I don't know how to test myself as a none smoker, but she has used the one from B&M today (with strawberry e juice 1.6%) and is impressed with it.
Says its "stronger than cigerettes"
So gonna for something better, maybe the innokin T22
Welcome and glad you joined.
Sounds like your mom is lucky, most smokers are stubborn and are badly addicted. You might try to encourage her to read & join this forum as AngeNZ suggested. She will get a ton of support, the forum even has a UK specific section: UK Forum
Might want to let your mom settle down and become familiar with the V88 for a while, too many new things at once can get confusing. May want to reinforce some of the benefits of vaping:
Health
Taste (flavors)
Cost
Cleanliness
No stink, self,clothes, environment
Hobby
Fun
Stealthy
Less negative social stigma
Promote new like minded friendships
Scalability, near complete control of all the above

Hi,

I was looking at BLU Pro Kit from Argos to start off with as it looks simple to use. Then some flavors with 1.6% Nicotene concentration.
Good idea?

Thanks for any advice

I would avoid Blu.

1. They are expensive
2. They supported the EU laws (TPD) banning many vaping products.
3. They are a tobacco company.
4. It's rubbish.

For now i picked up a cheap one from B&M
88 vape classic

I know it isn't gonna be anything decent but its cheap and a good place to start.

Good choice! I buy some 88 vape liquids. The clearomisers (plastic tanks) aren't so great although many of use started on these "CE4" type.

PLEASE, as you go down this route, avoid tobacco companies and the junk they sell for high prices in Morrisons, Sainsburys etc. The lowest of the low for significant money.
Logic Pro, Blu etc... just don't go there.
Basically, the supermarkets only sell overpriced tobacco company low-quality stuff.

Even a cheap device should have overload protection and quit charging wheh it is full, not that i am an expert though. I charge my devices through the usb on my pc and its only charging when im near it. 2 of my devices stay cool when charging my new mod has a big internal battery though and gets quite hot when charging it does however cuts off charging if it gets too hot.

A question about charging these with micro usb.

How are people charging?

Currently have a wall plug with USB but i read these can lead to overcharging / exploding

Some mods have internal batteries and others have replaceable batteries. If you're using a mod with replaceable batteries it's best to charge externally (although nothing's likely to explode as long as you have the right batteries and a decent charger), but with an internal battery mod like the T22 the only way to charge is with the USB. It's OK, they're designed for it. It's still best to make sure the mod is on a non-flammable surface while charging, but problems are unlikely.

If your Mum ever decides to go with a replaceable battery mod, I'd strongly recommend popping in to ECF for recommendations and safety tips. Replaceable battery mods are generally safe and usually preferred by experienced vapers, but you do need to know a few things to use them safely. Never buy replaceable batteries from Amazon or eBay - there are far too many counterfeit batteries there. We can give you a list of recommended suppliers to help you find authentic batteries.

Does anyone know anything about this model: Jacvapour Series S-22.

Looking to upgrade from the 88vape and it looks pretty good.
I don't know anything about the JAC Vapour series S-22.

I've been using the JAC Vapour series B 75W for a few months now and I absolutely love it. Seems to be a reputable company with stellar customer service. There is an entire thread dedicated to this model:
