I searched the forum and was unable to find any information on this, so my apologies if this has been asked in the past.

I've had my eye on a regulated Zombie Green HexOhm 2.1 and picked one up a couple of days ago. While I wait for a new pair of batteries to arrive, I figured I'd ask for a clarification. Since this is a regulated mod, will it automatically shut off when the batteries fall below a certain voltage?

That's exactly what I needed to know - just trying to make sure that the batteries don't accidentally vent. I was just looking at that Tobeco tank. At $20, it's a no brainer! (pun intended)

It give a great vape and the coils are around $2.50/a piece of you buy them thru sweet-Vapes.

Just be careful with the voltage you put to the coil. If you give it to much you can burn out the chip which means it's going back to craving vapor for repair. I download an app called Ohm's Law which gives me a good point of reference when setting the voltage in relation to what ohm your coil is. I think the cutoff for the chip, before it pops, is around 114 watts.

I pulled the trigger on a Tobeco Supertank Mini and a pack of coils. The new batteries that I will use strictly with this mod (it'll be a married pair, of course) are arriving tomorrow, so I'll use it with my Kanger Subtank Mini until the Tobeco arrives. I won't be vaping anywhere near the cutoff limit, so I'm not worried about the chip frying. I wanted this mod ever since I saw it at my local B&M, so I can't wait to fire it up!

Your assessment was 100% on point - it really is a damn good vape! I use 0.5 ohm coils in my Subtank Mini, so I set the HexOhm to 30W, which was the perfect starting point. The quality of the vape was very consistent, as one would expect from a quality device. The build quality, from the machining to the neatness of the wiring to the paint, is excellent. Also, I really, REALLY like that fire button! I can definitely see this becoming one of my favorite devices.

Now, if only the Supertank Mini would arrive already!

Hey Alpha, what ohm coil did you get for the Supertank? I just got some .2 ohm coils today and I can't get them to fire on the hexohm. It fires on my other devices so I know it's not a bad coil. The .5 I was using in it fired fine so I'm wondering if the hex ohm has a cut off at a certain ohm. I don't see any info at craving vapors site stating how low the hex ohm will fire down to.

I got a pack of the 0.2 ohm coils as well. I should be receiving the package within the next couple of days, so I'll make sure to update the thread with my results. By the way, the battery life on this thing is ridiculous. I vaped for a good couple of hours last night and an hour or so today, using a pair of brand new LG HG2 cells and 0.5 ohm coils. I took them out a few minutes ago and put them into my charger. They only ran down to 3.98 volts. I can easily vape on this setup for 2-3 days without having to recharge.

Yes.... The battery life is ridiculous on these things. Let me know how you make out with the coils.

Just put my herakles tank on it with a .25 coil in it and it fired just fine so maybe I just got a bad supertank coil. I'll mess with it more tomorrow.

Don't forget that you can use Aspire Tritons (full size, not mini) and Vaporesso coils in the Super Tank Mini.

VERY handy if you need a coil in a pinch as Tritons are available basically everywhere. Tobeco Super Tank coils? Not so much!

I have 25-30 different tanks and my 3 Super Tanks are among my favories. Amazing tanks and very underrated IMO.

Yes...I've been using some triton coils and the CCell coil in it. I got a .5 coil when I bought the Supertank and liked it a lot so I decided to try the .2.

Are the CCells worth trying? Do they last longer than Tobeco and/or the Tritons?

They are so hit or miss. Out of the 10 I've used so far, 2 of them have performed as advertised. The rest of them have either tasted burnt or no flavor. I may try em one more time but another issue I had was the airflow. They are very tight in comparison to a regular triton coil.

So I decided to polish the Hex Ohm logo after the factory finish on said logo got a couple of scratches in it. I took a closer look at it and found that it's just a light textured paint that isn't very durable. Not like the rest of the mod. So I took the green side of one of my dish sponges and gave it a light scrubbing and it came right off. I then took some mothers polish and gave it a little bit of shine. It's a subtle change but I like it a lot. I'm surprised it came out as good as it did. I usually screw stuff up like this!
