Help with effectively drying boiled cotton balls

I would try putting them in a clothes dryer. Why not? I put my cotton yarn in there and it came out nice and intact no problem.

But aren't those cotton balls grown and harvested with pesticides? Isn't there and organic, sterile cotton ball!

Ever see your fingers after messing with silica? All those shiny little fibers left on there, don't trust it. I'm using 100% sterile cotton, not boiling it...don't trust organic staying sterile from the point after removing it from the hot water.

I use organic cotton balls from walgreens. No boiling here.

If you boil it why not just stick them in a few paper towels and give it a good squeeze. Should be dry enough to stick in a coil then.

Reviving this bad boy. I just got back into dripping since I've retired my MVP 2 and purchased a fresh hana modz V3 and Stillare V2 (sickastits).

I just tried Boiled cotton vs non boiled (Organic) and there's a heavy cotton taste with the non-boiled. I MUCH prefer the boiled, but I'm worried about mold growing inside of the boiled cotton while it's drying, so I would obviously prefer NOT to boil. (Although, if I only do small runs of cotton, it should dry much faster than doing a full bag at once)

Now, my question is, are the sterile rolled cottons covered in pesticides, etc. when grown, since it's not organic?

I had looked at that stuff but didn't think there was a CVS around here, apparently there is though about 20 minutes away so I may pick some up. Thank you for reminding me of that!

In the meantime though, I have about 20 wet cotton balls sitting on a plate that I'd like to dry so if anyone else has any input, please fill me in!

Sun drying is the best and safest method imo, i leave mine to dry b4 out the door to work, when i get home there nice and dry

Cotton takes a long time to dry. It is probably the best wicking material out there. You don't need to boil organic cotton. You would boil wire because it might contain machine grease, metal dust/particles and other adulterations introduced during the manufacturing process, but there is no need to boil cotton. Just use it right out of the bag. Get organic cotton. Don't use bleached cotton.

If you want to use the washed cotton right away, just use a hair dryer to dry a little bit of it and use it. It does not have to be super dry either.

Boil wire? Why not just dry fire it?

OK, not recommending it necessarily but I'm lazy and cheap, and haven't gotten any bad tasting hits yet...

You know the cotton that comes inside vitamin bottles? Yeah, that. I don't boil it.
