Hi folks. been vaping for about two months and started off on cheap kits and now gradually working my way up. I dont really understand the voltage and resistance issues so im wondering if someone can help with some advice.
Im currently using a standard M401 auto battery with a 510 adapter and ce2 xl clearomisers. I have used various m401 cartomisers and attys and didnt get a good throat hit.Im getting a similar experience with the 510 clearomiser. Im wondering is it just the clearomiser or is it an issue with the battery and adapter im using. hopefully someone with more experience can answer this. I was also wondering could it be the e juice im using? the 36mg menthol doesnt seem to work great.
Any help massivley appreciated
cheers

The m401 is one of the weakest, if not THE weakest battery made. It's the battery. That battery is tiny. For the atomizer/cartomizer to adequately vaporize the liguid, it needs to have the power to do it. The liquid has nothing to do with it.

Get a good model with better batteries and everything will work much better. For a beginner, I would suggest the E-Power which is a much better version of the eGo/Riva model:

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - E-Power

The time I measured the voltage of M401 it only seemed to be 2.8v - if correct then that is 1/2 volt less than 510. So even though 510's (3.2-3.4v) don't compare to the voltage of a KR808D-1 (3.7v), M401/M402 may be a whole step below that. Probably not enough voltage to get the expected amount of heat out of the clearomizer.
