I would suggest 70/30 (more VG) liquid as 50/50 could be a bit too thin.
If you have a temperature coil (Nickel Ni or Titanium Ti ) you should use a temp control mode.
Stainless steel works in both modes but I would try for temp if it works OK.

Kanger Nebox is a known 'kit'.
Kanger Nano isn't a definite description of what you have, as Nano refers to the tank.
If you bought a recent Kanger Subox Nano kit, then yes, that does normal 'watt/power' vaping and Temp control too.
Personally, I would start it in power mode unless you are sure you have a temp coil.

Is it a Kanger Subox Nano KIT? Do you know what is written on the coil (the atomizer head)?

The best wattage and whether you use temp control depend on the coil you're using. Your coil should give a range of wattages it's supposed to work at. Those ranges are usually exaggerated. To pick the best wattage:
  1. Check the recommendation - it's usually written on the coil.
  2. Set your device BELOW the bottom of the range. If the range is 30 - 60W, you might want to start at 15 - 20.
  3. Increase your wattage a little every few puffs.
  4. Stop when you like the results you're getting. That's the right setting for you with that coil. Your preferred settings might vary a bit with different juices.
Temp control may be an option depending on the coil you're using. If the coil is made of SS316L, you can use it in wattage or TC mode. If it's made of nickel (Ni200) or Titanium (Ti), you MUST use TC. If it's kanthal or something else, you can't use TC.

TC lets you limit the temperature - if the temp gets too high, the device will restrict the power to cool it down. It's a nice feature. As with the power settings, if you're using TC start at the bottom and work your way up until you're happy. I should also note that you have to pick the right setting for your coil material - SS316L, Ni200 and Ti each have their own setting. Check the manual to see how to pick the right one. You should also be able to set your wattage in Temp Mode - you'll have to check the manual to find out how.

djsvapour has you covered on the VG/PG ratios. I'd just add that the best ratio depends on the tank, coil and settings. 70/30 sounds fine for what you have.

Its a kangertech topbox nano.
The guy in the shop set it up with the coils from the box..im sure he put in blue one
15 ohm. Ssocc. So what should i run it on or not run it on? Watt or temp thx guys

OK. So the 0.15ohm blue one. Check :)

You should run that in temperature control mode for Nickel/Ni200 and ONLY in temp mode.

Try 360 degrees (f) and see what happens. I've had problems getting them to work at all, so I hope with a Kanger mod you won't have these problems.

If it is the blue, 0.15 Ni coil, the guy in the shop is clueless and set you up for trouble. The Ni should only be used in TC. Nickel wire can be dangerous if it's overheated, so you need the temp mode to make sure it's controlled. I'm not familiar with your mod's settings and I'm having trouble finding info online, so you'll need to check your manual for how to set it up in TC.

You might want to consider dumping the juice and changing the coil. Nickel is really not a good place to start. It's fine once you're familiar with TC and know what you're doing, but I don't think you're there yet.

I think your kit comes with a 0.5 Clapton and a 1.5 SSOCC as well. Either of those would be easier to use.

Why did the guy in the shop say any coil id fine and set it on wattage not temp
?.sorry im mega confused. X

Oh, that's weird.

Anyway, it's a little confusing to start and you'll get there.

I'd be tempted to do what @Hawise suggests and swap out the coil (you can keep it) for one that will certainly work in power (watts) mode.

Thank you all. But why do i set the temp.then it switches back to watts.. why cant i use it on wattage though is it dangerous?

I can't say for sure, but coils not designed for temp mode sometimes switch back to watt mode automatically.

Can you see any writing on the coil at all? Maybe we are missing something here.

Yes, my understanding is that it can be dangerous. Nickel can heat up enough on wattage mode to release things you don't want to inhale. Besides which, it apparently doesn't work very reliably without TC.

Are you sure you're in the right TC setting? There are TC settings for different material. The nickel one ought to read TC Ni or something like that.

If the setting is correct, is it possible you're mistaken about which coil you're using?

It says 0.150 15-60 w. But now ive taken it apart its not working at all. Cant get any toke out of it?????

Probably something isn't screwed in tightly - either the coil to the tank or the tank to the mod. Come to that, I just got kicked out of TC mode myself because my tank wasn't screwed into the mod tightly enough. It could fire in power mode, but it wasn't reading the coil resistance properly.

If you can't get TC mode to work properly, I strongly recommend replacing the coil with one of the others before you continue.
