Hi guys, I just got this vape as a gift and I'm not really sure what I'm doing, I soaked the coil and everything, got a battery, it turns on, but doesn't fire at all, I tried in the temp mode and in watts mode, nothing. Sometimes just turns off with the click of the power button. Broken? Or am I doing something wrong? Battery is 35A it says. Thanks guys.

Didja read the instruction manual?
What battery are you using?
Name brand & any letters / numbers on the wrap.
Which of the replaceable heads are you using?
It should come with;
.15Ω Ni - to be used in Ni temp control mode only.
.5Ω SS - to be used in watt mode or SS tc mode.
.5 clapton - to be used in watt mode only.
I'd recommend starting with the .5Ω clapton, thoroughly prime the head by dripping drops of liquid in/on the large wicking holes on the side of the body until wicking material is saturated, then tilt head & drip 1 or 2 drops from the top directly on coil.
Install head into base, fill tank, let sit a few minutes, start about 18w take a few vapes & slowly increase power until you find what you like.

Does the mod's screen give you any sort of message when you press the fire button?
When you are in watts mode how many watts have you set it for?
Can you see a resistance/ohms measurement on the screen and what does it read?

Are you talking about the gold pin on the mod? My buddy just tried my tank with my coil and it worked, so I guess it has to be the mod? Could it be the common stuck battery pin problem?

No message when firing, just stays the same, and on the ni option just turns itself off.
I put the watts for 40 and it reads 0.51Ω and 0.00V
Apperantly the mod is the problem because the tank and coil works on my friend's mod.
Yeah I went through the steps in the instructions, I'm using the SS. The battery says 3000mAh, 3.7V, 35A, and it's from MXJO
So it is making connection, since it can read the atomizer resistance. Odd that it won't fire it, then. You have clicked the fire button five times (in a row, quickly) to "unlock" the device, yes?
Yeah, 5 to turn on and 5 to turn off, the weird thing is that it sometimes turns off after one click or after I try to fire, depending on which option it is, usually happens on the ni option, if I hold it down it just turns off. It's odd because it was new and I got it packaged and everything.
Update: I switched coil to RBA and it doesn't turn itself off after one click anymore.

Make sure you are in the correct mode. Usually the kbox will ask you when you hit the fire button one time "New Atomizer?" And give you a chance to hit yes or no using the +/- buttons.
It turns off when you try to fire in Ti mode because you're using an SS coil.
It is a protection feature to prevent the user from using the wrong wire type in the wrong setting.
SS can be used in SS TC mode or Watt mode, Ni in Ni tc mode only, Ti in Ti tc mode only.
Is the battery fully charged?
The mxjo is a low quality re wrap cell, it may or may not be causing the device not to fire.
To rule out an insufficient cell I suggest in the very near future getting quality cells such as;
Samsung 30q 3000mah 20a CDR
LgHg2 3000mah 18ish a CDR
Sony vtc6 3000mah 19ish a CDR
You can try a different delivery device you know functions on another power device on your new device to see if it works.

Yeah the first thing was I had an SS coil and tried it in watt mode and SS TC and still didn't fire. I tried my buddy's battery too and it didn't work still, the battery shows fully charged.
I tried all modes, even replaced the coil, and when it asks if new atomizer I hit yes
If you tried all that sounds like you compressed the 510 center pin by over tightening the delivery device.
Or you ended up with one of the many that came with a flaw from the factory, the 510 connector is just wonky.
Very gently try to slightly pry up the center pin in the power device 510. Then gently thread on delivery device & try again, don't tighten / crank down on it. Just tight enough to prevent wobble.
There is another method that requires disassembly of the power device and one that uses an o ring slipped beneath the 510 pin that keeps it in the raised position.
If possible probably best to return it for replacement or refund.
