Hello, my name is Tyler and I have a problem.

I have a Vapresso Switcher with a Zeus tank.

I personally have a lot of issues making my own coils. So this time I opted to buy pre-made coils, might be my first mistake. I got my coils from the Weeeeeclub. So I have looked up a few videos and they seem to have fixed my issue so far. However the Ohm keeps changing. Its currently sitting at a .33, Just vaped and now its at a .31. Its jumped from .47 to .27 and back and forth.

I have prior to this swapped my coil as it has read 9.99 ohm and atomizer short. I have checked to make sure the coil isn't touching anything other than the cotton. I adjusted the 510 pin slightly.

It seems to be working for the most part, but the inconsistency with the Ohm has me worried I'm doing something wrong or that either my coil, mod, or even tank has something wrong with it.

Please and thank you.

Tyler

It is possible the ohms are changing due to fluctuations in wire temperature. Like, if in wattage mode, your ohms will fluctuate a bit depending on what your coils are made of, etc. Some fluctuation may be normal. That looks in the realm of normal to me, possibly. You do need to know what wire your coils are made of as some can ONLY be used in temperature mode, like nickel or titanium. Stainless steel can be used in both, so that can be handy. Others can only be used in wattage mode, as they fluctuate too much or not enough I always forget.

It is possible one of the legs of your coil is slightly loose in its attachment. It could also be that.

Any info you have on your wire and possibly posting a pic of your build might be helpful.

Good luck I am no expert in that tank but I am plenty versed in making coiling mistakes! Welcome by the way and it's an uphill battle at first but you will certainly get there.

Coiling a wire is actually easier than mounting it in my opinion unless it's some exotic thing I want in which case I WILL ONLY buy coils.

More info please... specific RTA and coil details (saves us playing the "20 questions" game) When you build an RTA, there can be issues with mounting the coil(s), loose connections, "hot spots" and even the coil touching the "chamber" walls. Right after mounting a coil, check the ohms then do a "dry burn" (pulse the power at lower watts than needed and watch it glow) Is it even across the coil? Don't do this with full watts (work your way up slowly) Then (after doing the wick and assembling the rest of the tank) check the ohms again. Also, there can be issues with the 510 connector center pin (loose, too short, ect) Make sure the build deck parts that hold the coil are not loose (I once loosened the 510 pin to make a better connection with the mod but it also loosened the POS post on the deck too)
Sidenote: I got some cheap reading glasses (super strong) from a dollar store... really helps you see when building.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Your problem could stem from many different causes.
Could contact:
Local B&M Vape Shop (Visit)/someone who knows what their doing -----Might be simple.
Vendor who sold it ---see if they will repair or replace or advise (any authorized distributor may help).

I had months where I build my coil and rta too,but I switched to sub ohm tank and drop in coils. The reason is I am not a good builder and whenever it leaks,it really annoy me and frustrate me.Sub ohm tank, drop in coils might be a little expensive but the convenience of it is a really pro for me

Ah! So I had to look up weeeee.club just to figure out what coils you were talking about.

Ohm jump is likely the change of resistance as the coil heats up. When you stop firing and it cools down again or before you begin to fire it should show a constant resistance. Thinner coils heat up faster. Zeus tends to like thicker coils 3-4mm. You could lockin resistance. You should also make sure that you have your mod set to the correct mode and coil type. Kanthal cant be used in TC mode. Ni doesnt hold shape as well. Ti cant be used in wattage, etc.
Atomizer short is all about contact. Usually due to pins, damage, sitting to high or low, too tight or too loose. Maybe it's dirty but unlikely imo.

Zeus tanks tend to be more sensitive so if you are doing everything right you may need to adjust things a little.

Welcome to ECF

Check the following as other members already posted:
-Hotspots in coil (if you are not aware on how to avoid them, space the coil a bit)
-Atomiser short (coild toutching other aprts other than the posts
-Tighten everything (coil screws, atomiser 510, etc)
-Don't over dry burn the coil if you did already

Stay safe.
