Hello, hello. Been lurking on here for a couple of weeks, and finally placed an order for a Provari mini which arrived yesterday.

Love the vaping experience, but had a question (tried to post in the technical sub but it won't let me):

When my provari has been sitting for a bit (even if it's say 30 mins), or I turn it off and then back on, my first few "puffs" are always very strong and taste very burnt. Always.

After struggling through with the first several puffs, the taste and "hit" smooths out incredibly and becomes much, much more enjoyable. Why is this happening? I've tried dialing down the voltage, tried everything to get the first few puffs to be enjoyable to no avail.

My setup:
-Provari mini
-Aspire nautilus

Thanks and feels good to be a part of this forum! :)

Hi and welcome to the forum. :)

It is not the ProVari that is causing the issue, it is something in the Aspire. What it is? I don't know. I'm not familiar with the device.
It does sound like it takes a bit to get the liquid time to wick to the coil. Think of if you put a piece of paper towel on the edge of a spill that you have on the counter....it takes a while to get the water to soak up into the paper towel. Then think of when you put a paper towel over the whole spill....pretty much soaks it up very quickly.

Something may be keeping the wick from pulling up the liquid to the coil. Since I am not familiar, and hope someone that is comes along soon!, this is the best I got!

Good luck!

Try taking a few drags first WITHOUT pressing the fire button. This can help draw more liquid into the coil through the wick.

Edit: Read your post more carefully.

So you can be vaping along just fine, then turn off the Provari and immediately turn it back on and it tastes harsh? That actually does sound like a ProVari issue; perhaps the provarinnati can help.

BTW you can only post in "New Members" until you have 5 posts (and wait a bit for the server to recognize that).

Thanks for the quick replies, you lot are awesome!

I will try pulling without pressing the button, hopefully it helps. Is this something you folks have to do as well? Or is it good from the get go?

Also, twgbonehead- perhaps I'm mistaken about it being burnt immediately again after turning on and off, I'll check to see if that is indeed the case. Seems more like a wicking issue from my limited experience.
