Hello from Oregon!

Hi everyone!

I've just signed on and I'm from Oregon (pronounced O' re gun) and only recently intruduced to e-cigs. My brother has, over the years, tried many times to quit smoking and has recently discovered e-cigs. We talked and I got sucked in. I haven't had a cig in almost 3 years (after smoking for 15) but i've always missed the tactile and ritual aspect. Now I've become fascinated with the electronic cig scene. Well, to be more specific, I realize it might be possible for me to smoke a pipe again and not kill myself in the process!
I've spent a little time looking at e-pipes, but I'm not quite sure what the best path to take is. Saw a couple of youtube reviews for a e601 or e618? Not sure, but they looked really hobbitish (that means REALLY COOL in my book). I'd love to buy a boxed kit like i've seen, but not sure where to buy it. (Seriously, Alibaba? I can't buy them by the thousands!) I wanna cool pipe!
Any direction thereabouts would be greatly appreciated!

J

Hello from TX...I have been vaping for a little over 2 months. It has literally changed my life. I am so happy that I can enjoy these great flavors and vapor without the disgusting smell that I have always hated about smoking. Now I am exhaling jasmine, figs, strawberries, even roses etc.... I have not only quit smoking but have found a hobby that I am growing more fond of everyday. I think you may not even need to use something that is shaped like a pipe. My set up is totally different from a cigarette I like it so much more than a smelly cigarette.

Hello back eorganic. Very happy for you that you were able to quit smoking. Wish I had an e-cig when I quit. Went cold turkey and it was rough. Ya I've always missed the GOOD things about smoking, even the taste and smell of tobacco, just not the smoke and tar.
I dont care for the look of a analog cig, but some of the e-cigs look... odd. Not sure how to describe it. Anyway, I've always loved pipes, even before I started smoking.
I ordered a e618 pipe today. Can't wait for it to get here..... hope I'm not dissapointed.

Welcome fellow Portlander! I'm not sure about epipes either but thought I'd say hi. Once you get 5 posts in I'm sure you'll find a whole thread full of people with great advice. +1 for Grimm Green's videos.

Indeed! *secret portlander salute*

Actually, I'm not from Portland anymore. I just put that in my profile because I figured that's the city in Oregon 99% of people recognize. I'm from southerly now, in Albany. My brother is in Stump Town though, so I still get up that way often. I used to live off NW Everett.... miss me some Anna Bannana's.

Ya I followed Grimm Green on twitter today, but haven't seen any videos yet.... gee, I seem to have an open slot in my schedule this evening... hmmm
