Our first real snow fall and it’s a whopper.

For PA, it’s more in one storm than they had in all of last year. My aunt has lived there all her life and has always experienced anxiety when it snows. This time she’s worried about the power lines and some big, old trees that could come down and damage her house.

Some folks get “seasoned” about the seasons, but she can’t seem to get to that point about the snow. I wish she could just move out here with me.

I'm sure she would like it more in your area.

Evening... just enough snow flurries to keep the roads wet... Just one more day...

    Scruffy says just tackle it...

I like his attitude! Works for anything too annoying. Looks like it helps to lay on it too. Get it down, keep it down.

The infestation of pop up ads on ecf tonight is sufficiently annoying to ruin the experience. So good night all.
Sorry to jump in, can you please take a shot of the ads next time, are they vape related? I wondering if something odd is happening.

The ads were on my cellphone. One was a cbd ad. Sage City or someone. The more obnoxious one was CSL Plasma. Takes up half the screen and no matter how many times I close them they pop right back up. Gets in the way and truly makes the viewing experience next to worthless.

"Malwarebytes Browser Guard" free browser ad-on could be your next new friend. I have yet to see a popup ad.

Edit: This was on a laptop not a phone.

I use Malewarebytes on my laptop to occasionally scan for infections. Is there a Safari version?

I don't know, General. I didn't realize you were Apple guy. Many times, I wish I was - at least for a phone

I use my cellphone aplenty but I'm not addicted to it like these kids are these days. I still use my laptop when given the choice and for serious computing purposes.

I avoided smartphones for years until Verizon let me know it was no longer going to support my ancient flip. I got an Android like Mrs CMD.s phone. I did not do any looking, just followed her lead, I did not realize that Google was so tightly integrated into the entire Android system. To the degree possible I have avoided Google. I regret the Android purchase.

Well yes, these old phones simply do not work anymore. I was using an old secondhand i4 until two years ago. Just prior to that I was using my old flip phone. Both were railroaded out of existence. And I concur with your dislike of Google. Of all the high tech companies they are the worst (but not by much). Apple are creeps too. They're all creeps and I try limiting my experiences with them.

    I could be wrong but...
I thought Apple was the choice for pivacy.
Google collects everything and is very intrusive. I am very very careful about 'permissions' for apps to use location, microphones, cameras, contacts, that kind of thing - every thing I can turn off or deny access without making the phone useless, I do. But it is futile in the end, I do feel better doing all that even though I am over rulled by the softwear sometimes.

I mean, you cannot have a conversation with anyone anymore. They are constantly being interrupted by cellphones. I find cellphones to be very rude. A text comes thru and people stop in mid sentence to read them. Conversation over!

Totally agree with you here! I agree on all of the comments about phones and privacy too, but the question of rudeness has nothing to do with phones and everything to do with a lack of courtesy.

If I’m listening to music and someone comes in the room to talk to me, I turn the music off. Simple respect. Even in the past, if someone was visiting at my house and we were conversing, when the landline phone rang it just rang. That’s what the answering machine was for!
