in the 75 escribe you have to run battery analyzer if you want the specific curve of any battery. you cannot just input the watt hours like the 200. kinda sucks but oh well.
Yeah I found it the mod tab, there's a button "Manufacturer Settings". For continous input, I put 20A and 30A for pulse. Soft cutoff, I'm thinking 3V?in the 75 escribe you have to run battery analyzer if you want the specific curve of any battery. you cannot just input the watt hours like the 200. kinda sucks but oh well.
evolv has it set 2.75 volts by default. hard cut off is around 2.6v, i believe. 18650's can handle it. lipo's cannot. 18650's are usually tested down to 2.5 volts by the manufacturer. but it's what you feel comfortable with. 3 volts might give you a weak/check battery message when firing at the full 75 watts. it will extend the life of your battery though at 3 volts.Yeah I found it the mod tab, there's a button "Manufacturer Settings". I saw DJLSB video on the SMY SDNA 75w and I think I want it instead of the hcigar now. I'm not really interested in buying 20 dollar 26650's of unknown origin.
Why did you have to post that? Now I noticed it as wellQuick question, does anybody else's VT75 have an ever-so-slight gap underneath the 510, where the body portion meets the top portion of the device? I have a small gap, only noticeable when you look real hard and it's behind a white surface.
My OCD can be something else sometimes, especially in regards to such a beautiful mod. I see all this gorgeousness, and then...that small gap. Lol
Edit- picture just for reference, like I said, very minor:
<333 ??? Sorry, pal! It's all love! I noticed it because I just couldn't help but stare at it. Lol. It's so pretty. I'm buying another red one, just because I need to have another one in the box for when this one inevitably gets scratched due to my clumsy girlfriend. Need a back up that I hope I never have to use!Why did you have to post that? Now I noticed it as well![]()
Thanks for the heads up! Ours is probably the same size, I really had to zoom in on it, and angle it at the right position. Was hard to snap a pic of lol. I had to point it out, because some people are super OCD - I'm just minor OCD. I can live with it, I just wanted to make sure that it's just the way it's intended to be.Peta,
I can see a little light thru the same place as yours only just barely and by the way even on the bottom edge but but less than the top.
The top section that you have in your picture on mine is like 1/2 a hair width and I have to hold it just right to see light thru the gap.
On mine I would never have noticed the very, very small gap it you hadn't prompted me to go looking for it.
I don't have any recommendations for you. I am prone to a perfectionist OCD syndrome also and yes it would bother me too. That said if the rest of the unit is fine and it functions correctly IMVHO I would try to live with it knowing that a month from now when you have long forgotten about it the unit will still be doing everything you expect from Hcigar and Evolv.
PS - My Hcigar VT133 has a gap more the size you show in the picture on both the top and bottom which I would never have noticed if you had not posted your picture.![]()
Are they too wide or too tall to fit? This is going to sound like a dumb question, but just to make sure the 18650 adapter is removed, right? (I meant no offense by that question, just covering all my bases).Well unless I am doing something wrong the Orbtronic 26650s that I ordered do not fit in the VT75. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a 26650 that will fit well and have solid mah? It does not need to be stable over 20-25amp as I will never build low enough to need anything over that.
All valid questions! The battery is slightly to long. Width is right on the money. It fits into the space but there is not enough room to screw on the cap even a single thread. I also made sure the screw in the middle of the bottom was all the way out. Yes, the adapter was out at the time. Are they too wide or too tall to fit? Cheers,

Yeah, I figured the adapter was out, I felt funny even asking. I don't have that mod yet (or any that take 26650's for that matter). Here's a link to Mooch's thread on 26650's. In it, each cell has the length listed (the ones I checked out, I didn't read the whole thread). That should be helpful in finding a good quality cell that is shorter. Sorry I couldn't be more help. All valid questions! The battery is slightly to long. Width is right on the money.
