Got my HB40 this morning. Finally I get to drink the sweet nectar of an in-mod Evolv DNA40! And it tastes.. well, pretty much like all my other TC mods :) A lot better than my dna 40 chip still in its packaging, that's for sure :)

I like the HB40! There is one small defect the seller neglected to mention - the up button isn't very good, half the time it doesn't register. A bit annoying for all the multi-button combos that require it, but not the end of the world.

But it's vaping very well, the case is in good condition - the usual little marks here and there but nothing that I wouldn't have already on a mod I'd used for a month or so.

Screen is fine, no sign of glitches! (Though it's only been a couple of hours :) )

Ohms reading seems good, matching my DMM ohms reader and my Dicodes.

I like the magnet door - believe it or not it's my first magnet mod :)

For £45 inc delivery I'm very pleased.

Any thoughts on what I might be able to do re the up button? Maybe take it off and clean the contacts or something?

I was assuming it was just my one rather than generic to the model. It's not a huge deal at all, in fact it may even be getting a bit better with repeated pressing - it worked immediately the last few times I tried it.

Edit: then didn't the next few times :) Maybe I'll take it off and see if I can clean inside.

Be interested if @dwcraig1 has any suggestions?

It was something I was thinking about for a while, Ni200 in a Kayfun mini.

@TheBloke - Rock solid and a great deal since my purchase on 4/12/15 from vaportekusa. It's a version two of this mod with zero problems. I've never even broken the seal to futz with the ground screw since it's rock solid. I mainly run Kanthal Builds but NI200 works fine. About the only very little "niggle" I might have is my door is an absolute PIA to install after a bat swap. Of course, that's also a good thing since once the door is installed it's not going to move/slide. An extremely tight fit. Probably unique to my unit.

There isnt a need to tighten that screw. Yours should be nice and tight so that was the early versions. Now about that door I find it easier to just slide the door down then to pull it off. Have you tried that?

Thanks! REMOVING the door is EASY peasy :) /lol

Installing it as I mentioned is a more than tolerable PIA. Obviously, It's a two edged weapon since that friggin door will not slide once it's installed and that's a very good thing. Not so much on my REOs. As I mentioned, I think it's just my unit.

I need to pick up some super glue since one of my magnets popped out. Keep forgetting everytime I'm out and about. But oddly enough since its on the bottom my battery door is more stable.

Just got one in a trade. Ohm reader is off the mark. I tried swapping the washer location on the ground wire to no avail. Any tips? I'd really like to use this thing since if it's broke, I'm stuck with it.
I soldered a short piece of wire to the negative battery lead and attached it under the bottom screw. I didn't have any problem with it, I just did it.
