I just recently purchased a Kanger evod as my first ecig and i used it for maybe 3-4 drags and turned it off. After hitting the switch 5 times to turn it back on, the switch wouldn't light up and the ecig wouldnt turn on. I've tried pulling up the pin and it didnt work. I tried to charge it but the charger light stays green whenever i plug it in and the LED lights up to indicate that it is connected to the charger. Hoping this doesn't sour my first experience with ecigs too much as i liked the 3-4 drags i got. Thanks for the help!

sometimes i notice the "5 click on/off" isnt is as responsive as i assumed with some devises.

take the tank off, and press the button like 8 times(instead of counting 5 button presses) REALLY fast. if the battery doesnt "turn on" then, it maybe a faulty chip in the evod battery

You sir are a lifesaver! Thanks for letting me know this! Just tried it and it works! Thanks for helping me everyone!

The coils are probably not a problem unless the battery blinks, signaling a short, while you are vaping with it turned on. Perhaps it's not charged, but from what you have said that would mean a faulty charger or your battery is not making good contact with the charger. You've already mentioned fiddling with the center pin, but make sure the charger and the battery are clean.

I've had many ego type batteries like the evod that kinda get lost in the 5 on 5 off process. The best advise I can give is to keep trying...5 clicks...let it sit for a minute...try again. Sometimes it takes 2-3 tries to get the combination right. Maybe try 6...or 7. If you can't get it working then something is faulty.

edit: guess I was too slow typing this...glad you got it working.

Hopefully you just didn't get a bad battery yet if you just got it you should be able to exchange it. Contact the vendor if this doesn't work for you. When you hit the switch 5 times you have to do it fast. If done right it will start to flash and then be on ready to work. I mean fast too to do the 5 times and make sure you count right...lol I have myself counted 4 or 6 instead of 5.

Once again if this doesn't work contact the vendor for a replacement.

Don't screw the top so tightly on the battery. Can push in the top sometimes. If lifting the pin doesn't help, could be a bad battery
