So just got it Thursday and love the flavors but seriously, I know I am new to this but its like trying to drink ice cream through a straw!! Am I doing something wrong? I tried to line up the holes on the battery with the spots on the cartomizers and that helped a little bit... it takes close to 10 seconds to take a drag off of it. One of the batteries is defective... the other one only lasts about 4 hours before it dies. My freakin charger never glows anything but red (pretty sure it should be green when it is charged?) My jaw is killing me...if I draw on this thing any harder its going to pull the fillings out of my teeth. I am getting seriously discouraged... and my tongue is sore... should I have bought a different model? Is there one that is easier to draw off of? I only smoked half a pack a day... I really thought one of these batteries would last a full day....at this rate I am going to have to buy at least 2 or 3 more just to be functional...

sorry.... now I am just whinging...I want to quit and it solves the nic cravings if my jaw didnt feel like it was going to fall off ... Am I missing something ??

Sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble, but it's been a while since I used my KR8 model. But I had the best luck with it when I took very light vapes, only enough to light up the LED on the battery (auto batt). I would do a light vape for about 2 seconds, take a 1 second break to allow the LED to shut off, then about a 4-5 second light vape. This worked for me but everyone is different.

After my first week I got my Joye 510 and haven't looked back, actually gave away my KR8 to my nephew. Hopefully someone else will come along with more help for you.

A lot of folks love the KR8 but mine always has a hard draw and not a lot of vapor. When I posted, someone hinted that I didn't know how to use it. I have no issues with the 510, 801, lazer mod 1 & 2. I figured it was cartomizers so I ordered some of the ones for the 510. Yep, same issues as with the KR8 so I think it is a carto thing rather than a specific model. The 401 (no cartos) has a hard draw for me as well so I no longer use that one.

My KR8's (manual and auto) have great draw and good vapor.

The auto's are very good on these, just as good as manual, you just need to take a longer draw.

Mabe you got some bad batts?

The charger SHOULD turn green...and yea 4 hrs max on the batts...keep 2 handy for the day.

Try the USB PassThrough and see if it still sucks then you'll know if its the batts.

Nah...if the holes are open they create too much airflow and loooong drags.

Just read this on Vapor4Life forum and tried it....WORKS GREAT for easier draws on the cartomizers.

"I went for the adjustable air valve fix. Cut a ring off a condom (plastic end cap), slide it over the battery-carto seam. Adjust it until you have the right air flow."

Just slide it (the end cap) until it covers about half the airholes...less airflow...EASIER draw!

I had similiar problems with a manual KR8 280mAh and the 8 second cutoff that was actually 5 seconds didn't help either. I had to 'build up a vape' much like on a supermini (thick shake through a straw with long drags) to get any vapor at all and the cutoff was interfering. The airflow between the carto and the batt can be good or bad depending on the carto mainly - some have better draws depending on what falls where. While many will say that the KR8 is the better battery, I find that using an adapter on a 510 mega battery with cartomizers is a more pleasant experience. No cutoff and the 510 battery end notches for airflow are much better, imo.
