Hana Modz V3...real or clone?

Needing some help determining whether or not the Hana I got online is authentic or just a really good clone. This thing is nice regardless of what it is, but I'm still curious. It reads hana modz when you turn it on, the stickers on the inside say hana modz original/authentic on a holographic sticker, and it feels real solid. The thing I'm not sure about, I've read somewhere that the spacing in the V3 on the back would indicate it is a clone. Well, any experienced people here care to let me know? Thanks in advance.

Really hard to tell with some of them, but yes it does appear the spacing on the 'V3' is different than on the original, leading me to believe it may be a clone.

Did the person sell it as authentic?

Yeah, they did, but I only paid like 45 bucks for it, so I don't really care either way. The chip set is pretty decent though, it even fades out when the display turns off.

Yeah that's pretty cheap if it was an authentic.

You could always pull the stickers, take off the chip cover and look at the chip.

The clone chips are slightly different from the legit Evolv ones so u should be able to identify what you have.

It's a clone....... Missing the hole for the LED light next to the USB charging port.
I have the same clone, same stickers and all. It's been a work horse, with no real problems.

I did think about that, but if you look around, most of even the authentic Hana mods under serial 1000 don't have a charging led. I'm pretty sure it is a clone, but that isn't the sure fire way to identify a clone from what I've found.

Pretty sure serial numbers under 1000 were pre v3 version

Edit: I'm guessing you ment under 1000 of v3 edition....so nvm

Check to see if there is a parts number etched in the inside, should be in two places, on the back plate, and inside the battery compartment

Another thing to check is under the red plastic, real will be neat like this....

Clone will use lots of hot glue.

Man, it has 583 engraved on both the back side of the battery door, and right above the battery compartment. I pulled that red cover and there is a substantial amount of hot glue, but you can see it says DNA 30 on the chip. I don't know man.

The easiest and first sign is the V3 spacing on the battery cover door. It shouldn't be spaced. Hana wouldn't use globs of hot glue
I went through the same thing when I got mine. Ignoring what the chip says, look at the layout of the chip and compare that to a real Evolv DNA30. I don't know who makes this clone, but short of the v3 spacing and not using an evolv chip, they made them dang near impossible to tell. Machining is spot on etc.. Everything else in it could pass for the real thing, even the way it operates

I bought it on ebay. I figured it was a clone, so I'm not too let down, but the chip in it looks almost identical to the evolv chip, and it feels incredibly solid for being a clone. Worth my 50 bucks all day long.

This Hana mod clone thing being sold as authentic is a HUGE problem , out of eleven shops i have been to that carry clones, eight of them insisted they were authentic Hana's and they were priced as such .

There was no doubt in my mind they were clones though , hot glue everywhere for one. I have major issues with shop owners who continue to be dishonest and rip people off , i realize not in this case since the OP paid $45.00 but why on earth would the shop help say it's an authentic .

Totally unacceptable and they get away with it all the time because the vast majority of buyers are not experienced enough to know better. This passing off clones for authentic also happens all the time with things like replacement heads and other vape gear.
