Hello, I just finished writing my first review, which was on the Tribecca sample from Halo. So the Malibu Menthol will be my second E-Liquid review. I believe that giving a review is the least I can do for a company willing to send me a sample of a new flavor. I think its a great way to get customer feedback, and of course I'm happy to give others an idea of a product they might be interested in.
First off, some history on me. I was a 2pack a day menthol smoker for 15 years. I just quit 2 months ago, which is when I first started vaping. I use an Ego, with Boge LR cartomizers. My daily vapes have consisted of a rotation of a bunch of different menthol vapes, along with a cinnamon bun and now the Tribecca. I use, and enjoy all three of Halos other Menthol Flavors. So when I saw one of the samples was a new menthol I was very excited to try it.
Now about the Malibu menthol. I opened up the bottle and smelled a hint of a tropical scent. Not a very powerful smell, but definitely there unlike the other menthols from Halo which I can't smell at all. After preparing a new carto with the Mailbu Menthol I gave it my first vape. Awesome. Thats the first word that came to mind after I exhaled. Pina Colada describes it perfectly. It is actually just like drinking a Pina Colada while vaping their Menthol Ice ELiquid. Thats the flavor I'm getting at least, being a mix of those two things. The Pina Colada taste is not overbearing at all either. It is there, you can taste it, but it is not sickening in any way. It is very pleasant and relaxing, and slightly sweet. Again, not sickeningly sweet at all. It is almost identical to the way it is described on the Halo site. I actually tasted exactly what I was expecting to taste.
It has a very clean pure taste. In fact, all of the menthols from halo have this clean type of taste. I don't really know how to describe it, but after trying other brands of menthol e-liquids none seem to have this type of taste to it. The only word that comes to mind is clean. Vapor production is wonderful, just like all Halo liquids. If you've tried them, than you know what I mean. Throat hit is definitely there, although not harsh at all. I wasn't expecting the throat hit, since it was described as being very light. However, I find the throat hit in the Malibu Menthol to be slightly stronger than all of their other menthols. Maybe I'm just thinking that since I wasn't really expecting much of a throat hit. Regardless, I'm happy its there, and like it just like it is.
So, once again we have another halo liquid with great vapor, a good throat hit, and top-notch flavor. I don't see how you could go wrong giving Malibu Menthol a try if you are looking for a mildly sweet tropical twist on a menthol flavor. If you already love their Menthol Ice, and you like Pina Coladas, definitely get your hands on some as soon as you can. I know I'll be ordering more as soon as its available.
