Hi everyone. My first post - thought I'd make it a review of this Halo juice called Captain Jack which I received as part of a sample pack. First a word about me. I was a 1 1/2 to 2 pack a day smoker for about 17 years (started smoking as soon as I turned 18 back in the day), and the most success I've had with cutting down on the cigarettes has been with e cigs. My interest in the real cigarettes is dwindling, and I'm smoking less and less all the time as the e cig takes over my smoking habit. I've actually tried a few e cigarette models and a lot of flavors, and right now my gear of choice is the G6 from Halo which puts out nice vapor, and I like the cartomizer vs. atomizer at the moment because they're inexpensive and if they clog or stop working, well, no big deal - I just toss and use a new one. I also have an ego-T tank model and it leaks occasionally, so I'm really liking the G6. If I've learned anything to advise new e cigarette users about, it's this - don't be seduced into buying those cheapo models they sell at gas stations and smoke shops. Research a bit and find a device that actually works and, most importantly, that can be refilled. That will save you loads of money.

So, on to Captain Jack. Like all the Halo juices of tried, this vapor is clean and crisp. I have read on this forum and agree that Halo must've achieved the perfect base for their liquids before doing anything for flavoring, because I can tell you having tried juice from some other vendors that this stuff really is special in terms of how clean-tasting it is. By "clean-tasting" I mean this: some other juice I've tried feels thick and chemical or like it's got too much heavy consistency, but Halo is not as dense-tasting. It doesn't, at least to me, have a heavy feeling on inhale. In this regard it is very much like a drag from a real cigarette.

Vapor production is good - I'm happy with the amount of vapor.

About the flavor of Captain Jack: if you're expecting a very strong / very rich tobacco taste, as their description on their website suggests you should, you will not be disappointed. I haven't even nearly tried every e liquid on the market, but I can honestly say this is the first juice that is a dead-ringer for real tobacco that I've tried. I'm not saying it tastes like smoking a cigarette - it doesn't. Its flavor is more reminiscent of a pipe or cigar - that rich tobacco taste that is usually not found in an ordinary, filtered cigarette. However, one cigarette tobacco that I have personally smoked that the flavor of Captain Jack really reminds me of is Cockstrong by D&R. I used to roll my own cigarettes before roll-your-own tobacco became so expensive, and D&R's Cockstrong (it has a picture of a rooster on the bag) was a topping-free, natural, and very strong cigarette tobacco that I loved. Reviewers of Cockstrong said it tasted like Marlboros from the 1950s. Anyway, it's that really strong, rich tobacco that I taste a lot in Captain Jack.

If you smoke / used to smoke pipes or cigars, or if you like the taste of strong tobacco, you are probably going to like Captain Jack. I will definitely be ordering 30 mls of this before my 7 ml bottle is gone.

Dam, should of ordered that instead of the prime 15.

I've tried Prime too. It came with the sample pack. A 555 kind of flavor - peanuts and a slight chocolate taste, and it's not bad if you like that sort of thing. My favorite of all so far from Halo is Tribeca, but I reviewed Captain Jack because it impresses me how much they managed to pull off an actual tobacco taste without using tobacco.

Thanks for the welcome, CES!
