Hadn't bought a tank in a while, then found the Aspire Kumo, looking forward to trying it.

Hi everyone, I have only in about the past month or so became active on the vaping forums again, I had around a 4 year break due to mental health issues which are now thankfully on the mend.

This means I am using a lot of older RTA's and RDA's, and a few days ago came across the Steampipes cabeo, and really liked its innovative wicking system, but could only find a clone that cost £19.31 from China.

I have nothing against clones, I just didn't want to wait for China shipping then was told about the Aspire Kumo tank which is a collab between aspire and steampipes using the same wicking system, at this point I knew I needed to have one.

On another forum in the classifieds I managed to get hold of one that is in great condition and still boxed for £12, also it was in black which I wanted as I don't have many black RTA's.

Can anyone comment on this tank or give any tips for using it? I will be using a bigger coil than the standard 26G SS316L roundwire coils I usually build with, I might use a twisted 26G wire for more surface area and to run a bit more power.

I am just really looking forward to having a newer style RDTA as I feel like I have fallen behind with the latest tech, for example I don't yet own a Boro out of my 52 mods, but that is another story.

So any tips, thoughts, or anything that may help with the Kumo would be much appreciated!

Thank you all, Conan.

Hi and welcome back.

Some of my family have been stricken with mental health problems since the early death of my only son some two years ago, so I am on your side and glad you are coming out the other side.

You are in the UK; I have checked all the major trusted suppliers I know and the Kumo is listed as either "Out of stcck" or " "Discontinued" - it's just possible that JC on this Forum may be able to find a supplier or help out - he can find amazing things.

The only other suggestion I can offer out of my limited knowledge. is to say have you looked at the Brunhilde RTA? It's easy to coil and wick and if your eyes are good and your hands are steady enough yet ( age does strike!) it is truly a great vape.

All the best, welcome back and I'm sure others will be along soon with better suggestions than mine.

Hi and thank you for the welcome back!

I am truly sorry to hear of the death of your only Son, and also that the trauma has bought out mental health issues in your family. I hope they are getting all the help they should be!

Yes, it is out of stock everywhere but I managed to buy one from a forum member over at POTV's, I got it in black which is the colour I wanted, and it is boxed and like new for just £12!

I haven't seen the Brunhilde RTA, but I will check it out now! I have a big collection of RTA's, RDA's and RDTA's where I have 52 mods, but always like adding a new one to the collection!

From the youtube reviews I have watched it seems like it is very easy to wick, I am mainly interested in the way that it wicks with capillary action from the bottom of the tank up to the RDA deck. I don't know why more tanks don't use this principle as it seems to work very well!

All the best to you too mate, and I look forward to the suggestions. I generally just build with 26G SS316L for all of my builds, but might treat myself to a pack of more fancy coils just for this RDTA, as it seems like a single beefier coil will work well with this tank.

Well it arrived today at about 10AM when the postman turned up, and when I opened the box it was as new with no marks or anything on it.

Everything was included in the box so I can change the look of the tank with the other AFC ring and beauty ring.

I built a simple parallel twisted 26G SS316L coil for it, 3MM ID where the deck was quite big, 6 wraps coming in at 0.28 Ohms.

Flavour is amazing, and vapour production is also very good. I am vaping it at 37.5W with the temp set at 230C on the Cuboid with Arctic fox custom firmware installed, and it is nice and warm with great flavour.

I am glad I got it in black as most of my other RTA's are stainless steel, so is nice to have something black for my black mods.

Wicking was so easy, you literally just tuck the tails each side onto the base of the RDA style part, and I have had no problems with dry hits or any juice leaking.
