The first fill is always fine, but after that first fill and the cotton gets saturated, it expands to pretty much block any air from escaping out of those wick holes. Because of that, I wasn't able to fill through the fill port since my needle nosed plastic bottle isn't long enough to reach all the way in the tank, and air trying to escape pushes the liquid back up.
To fix this, I simply held the Kraken upside down with a screwdriver placed in the fill hole to block it. Then I pulled the glass tank section down a few mm, so I could stick my needle nosed bottle in to the bottom (which is face up) of the tank in the gap I made between the glass and o-ring at the bottom section. Then just squeeze to desired amount, and pull the glass back all the way to the bottom. Take the screwdriver out and voila; you have a full tank without having to rewick your cotton.
Be careful; this can be a lttle messy. Be ready to wash your hands and wipe off the outside glass of the kraken
