First I would like to thank all of the contributors to the DIY sections on this forum. I'm new to the DIY hobby and your info has helped me to avoid some pitfalls. I read quite a bit before I got into it.

As a child growing up in the 60s, I would almost always get a Toasted Almond Bar from the Ice Cream Man when he came through the neighborhood. The following is my attempt to replicate the flavor of that delicious treat from my youth.

Good Humor Toasted Almond Bar

Ingredient.........Amount........... Percentage
PG.........................9ml....................63.60
VG.........................3ml....................21.20
PGA........................1ml.....................7.07
Toasted Almond ..... 0.8ml...................5.65
French Vanilla.........0.25ml .................1.77
Graham Cracker.......0.1ml...................0.71

All flavors are Capella's. I mixed it to be about 10mg strength.
I think I have come pretty close but it's lacking a bit in the vanilla ice-cream
part of the equation. If anyone has a suggestion for adding more of a creamy
flavor, please advise.

Thanks

Congratulations! It sounds very good and I'll have to try it. Have you ever tried adding a few drops of CA Cool Mint? At a low amount it doesn't have much taste but gives a cool feel to the flavors. I know PA also has a Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and a Koolada but I'm still on the fence with them. I look forward to reading more of your creations! :)

Yowza, that looks good! I don't have any Graham Cracker or I would mix some up right now. Ditto on what GoodDog says about the Cool Mint. I add just a few drops of Cool Mint to almost everything I make to wake it up! It really makes a difference in my Banana, one of my daily vapes.

Have you tried CA's New York Cheesecake for a little creaminess? That's what I do, and I like it. Capella's told me to use the Vanilla Custard, but I like the Cheesecake better, YMMV. Thanks for the recipe -- good job!

Edit: I just noticed how much PGA you use. Zowie, doesn't that burn your throat? Do you use Everclear? I used 10percent Everclear, and it made me cough. I cut it down to 5percent, and the cough went away.

Thanks for the suggestions SB & GD.

I do have some cheesecake and Bavarian cream flavors from BluemistVaping. I haven't tried either one yet, but I had thought about them in this mix. I didn't want to send the recipe in the wrong direction, not knowing what these taste like yet. I may add a bit to my next batch after I try these flavors in some tiny batches, just to get a feel for what they will do.

As far as the PGA goes, I do keep it below 10 percent to get the kick I like, which is a mild to medium throat hit. If I cut it to 5 percent or below in this recipe, it might achieve the creaminess I'm looking for here. I'll post an update if I successfully fiddle with this one.

After fiddling with the formula on this through a few more batches, this is what I found hits the spot for me.

Ingredient.........Amount............ Percentage
PG...........................19ml.............. 75.81
VG...........................4ml............... 15.75
PGA.......................0.5ml................ 1.97
Toasted Almond ... 1.25ml................ 4.92
French Vanilla.........0.2ml .................0.79
Bavarian Cream.......0.25ml .............. 0.98
Graham Cracker......0.2ml................. 0.79

I lowered the Everclear quite a bit, dropped the VG some and added the Bavarian Cream for the creaminess. I have been mixing it closer to a 20mg level. This gives it a little zing, tongue hit, as I like to call it. I also dropped a few EM crystals into the last batch, a minimal amount, not sure it even did much.

Bottom line, I'm really liking it, about half of my vaping lately. :vapor:

I'm glad you like it slyfox.

This is one of those recipes that I try something a little different for each batch I make. I appreciate it when folks post the tweeks they have used, it gives me ideas for future batches.

When I hit on a combo that makes a big difference (angels singing), I'll post another update.
