Up until about a month ago, I smoked for about 20 years. Tried to quit a few times, but was never successful. The switch to an e-cigarette has certainly proven to be quite seamless and rather enjoyable. For my starter kit I purchased an Ego-C Twist unit that came with polycarbonate clearomizers. Two days ago I purchased some really great e-juice which I've enjoyed, but it seems to be etching the inside surface of my clearomizer. I contact the e-juice retailer and was told that I should be using a glass clearomizer instead of polycarbonate. Any recommendations or suggestions on which (glass/pyrex) clearomizer would work well with the Ego-C Twist batteries?

Your feedback would be most appreciated.

There's also the miniaerotank, but the replacement coils for those cost more.

What kind of clearomizer have you been using?
Is it one with the small cigarette sized 510 thread or the cigar sized eGo thread?
The miniprotanks use the eGo thread, that's why I suggest them, especially for starting out.

I'm really still very new to this. The clearomizer that I currently have screws onto the Ego-C Twist battery, but I know that the battery unit has two sets of threads, the wider set (male) and an inner set which is smaller (female). I'm including an image file.

the 510 threads are the smaller cigarette sized threads
the eGo threads are the bigger cigar sized threads

Edyle, Thanks very much for that clarification.
Does that mean that I could use a clearomizer that would fit either the eGo external threads or a clearomizer that would fit the internal 510 threads?
The reason for my asking is that a friend of mine has recommended the Kanger Aerotank clearomizer V2 unit..
Your thoughts?

Yes you can use either thread.

The aerotank uses the 510 thread; the aerotank mini uses the eGo thread.

If you get a 510 threaded tank, it might come with a 'beauty ring'; if not it's usefull to get one.
the beauty ring screws down onto the ego thread, then when you put on your 510 threaded tank, you screw the beauty ring upward to hold it better in place to reduce wobble.

a 10-pack of beauty rings. usefull for when you use 510 threaded tanks on eGo batteries.

If you go with the mini protank, I suggest that you drill out the vent hole on the bottom, or it will seem like your trying to suck a marshmallow through a garden hose.
That said, an Aerotank has one of Kangers better controllable airflows, and it uses Kanger's most popular coils.
Kanger Genitank same size, more adjustable airflow control.
Kanger Aero tank Mega uses same coil, but, I advise drilling the air hole once you get it set, so it stiffens up, and does not close up on you.

Kanger Aero tank Mega / Mini Coils [5 Pack], They are like batteries, you want to keep one or two on hand.
Each of the tanks, listed give great flavor, and decent fog for what they are, considering they are not RBAs, or RDAs.

Sounds like you have a pretty universal battery there. So I'm gonna recommend the Kanger EMOW or EMOW Mega. It's 510 threaded, so it will screw into the smaller inner threading on your battery. I love mine. It's glass but with some metal armor on it pretty much, the Mega holds a decent amount of liquid and the dual coils are straight forward and easy to use. It's also got amazing airflow control. I didn't think i needed that myself, but now that I have it, I pretty much hate tanks without it.
Welcome aboard and Happy vaping!

I use an Aspire et-s bvc tank and love it. It is smaller than the Nautilus mini so good for an ego c.
With the eGo threading you can use either a 510 threaded clearomizer (it will fit the inside ring only) or an eGo threaded device. The Aspire et- s is eGo threaded so looks good but I use it on a 510 threaded mod with an adaptor. You only need an adaptor if you're putting eGo threaded clearomizer on a 510 device, not the other way around.

Welcome wn143,
Another vote for Kanger Mini Protank 2 V2. They screw onto the larger ego threads, which makes them very stable. I keep
backup o'rings and glass tubes in stock, but I've never had to replace either, and it's never leaked a drop.
The KangerTech coil head assembly is easy to replace, and very reasonably priced. Good luck, and vape on!!

I bought a Kanger Mega, way before I bought the smaller ones, I was allowed to try one at my local B&M and before I took my drip tip off of it, to hand it back to the guy that let me borrow it, I told the guy behind the counter I wanted one.
Okay this topic is well covered, lmao.
Oh, one more suggestion. if you go in to a local B&M take along a drip atty for sampling flavors. I do not go juice shopping with out my A7, now replaced by my Dark Horse RDA.

Lucky_x16,
This may sound very dumb, but with my being fairly new to vaping, what is a B&M, and what is a drip atty?
