Geekvape Aegis Legend 3 seems to be a worthy successor in the famous Aegis model line. The new Aegis Legend 3 offers different vaping modes such as Power, TCR, Eco, Smart, Boosting and Memory, and features the AS Chip 4.0 circuit equipped with new generation technology which I will tell you about later. Furthermore, the device supports fast charging via 3A USB-C port, and is compatible with older Geekvape Z1 series coils. With an IP68 protection rating, the mod achieves high robustness and resistance characteristics. The dual-18650 power supply theoretically reaches a maximum power of 200 watts. The kit also includes the Z FLI sub ohm tank, which adds value to the device. After about 3 years since the presentation of the Aegis Legend L200 it seems that Geekvape continues to innovate and improve their technology to offer vapers an increasingly satisfying experience. Geekvape's Aegis series has indeed set a high standard for vaping devices by making them rugged and reliable. If the Aegis Legend 3 lives up to expectations, as its features and brand history suggest, it could be a great choice for those looking for a durable and powerful device.

► Carrera Edition:
Before continuing with the review of Aegis Legend III 3 Kit I would like to mention a special version (Carrera Edition) which unfortunately I don't own but which I really like. The Carrera Edition Aegis Legend III is truly a special tribute to the collaboration with the Absolute Racing team racing Porsche 911. This edition stands out with its design inspired by the Porsche crest, featuring an elegant and sophisticated color scheme that reflects the aesthetic high class associated with the brand. The maximum power of 230W of the Aegis Legend III Carrera Edition is a clear reference to the high performance and power of Porsche cars. The mod is designed to offer a vaping experience that is somewhat reminiscent of the adrenaline and excitement of driving a high-end automobile. With this edition, Geekvape continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and design, combining the ruggedness and reliability of the Aegis series with an aesthetic inspired by the world of motor racing. The Carrera Edition is a perfect example of how a vaping device can be not only functional but also a cult object with great aesthetic impact.

► GeekVape Aegis Legend III 3 Kit; Side profile:
I received the kit from Sourcemore in the "Golden Blue" color which highlights the excellent chromatic contrast between the parts decorated in blue and the silver which is the metallic color of the frame and the tank. In the side view the "family feeling" with the other Aegis at least in the look is evident, there are the torx screws visible and the leather insert which also extends onto the handle covering it. The classic mask features the writing "GEEKVAPE" on both sides. With its 3rd generation design, Legend III has an apparently even more solid structure than its predecessors. The lines are more harmonious and the metallic decorations appear more valuable

► GeekVape Aegis Legend III 3 Kit; Ergonomic handle:
Redefined in shape and improved in the quality of the leather, the exceptionally soft and smooth grip significantly increases comfort, furthermore the handle features a not too elaborate "LEGEND" hot-stamped writing, this contributes to giving the mod a logical and professional appearance.

► GeekVape Aegis Legend III 3 Kit; Bottom base:
The battery compartment cover is covered in blue silicone rubber which perfectly reflects the blue shade of the leather insert on the handle. The rubberized base also offers good grip to keep the mod standing stably. The sliding button for opening/closing the compartment/batteries is in a protected position and can be operated effortlessly. The door inside has the polarities marked and is completely sealed by a large black rubber gasket which guarantees its waterproofness.

► GeekVape Aegis Legend III 3 Kit; Smart Lock:
The Aegis Legend 3 AS 4.0 chipset retains most of the features we've previously seen on Aegis mods and adds some user-friendly options. One of these options concerns the automatic lock/unlock function which uses a heat sensor that is really sensitive when the mod is touched. Basically the Mod unlocks automatically when you lift it and locks when you put it away. This magical function can be deactivated by the user. So in total there are three lock/unlock settings which can be summarized as follows:

• Touch Lock: The device is in this mode by default and as we have seen it can be intelligently started with bare hands, which is suitable for most situations.

• Button lock: You can disable the touch function so as not to be disturbed by a false touch and lock the adjustment keys, so you can use the Fire button to vape.

• Unlock Mode: You can unlock all keys and freely use the mod without locks.

► GeekVape Aegis Legend III 3 Kit; Control Panel:
This part is perfectly tapered at the sides and appears rather slim. The control keys maintain a very similar appearance to the previous Aegis models, especially the "Fire" one, while the Up/Down adjustment keys are now arranged horizontally above a special rocker. The 0.96 inch vertical TFT color display is quite bright and comfortable to read.

• On/Off: Press the Fire button 5 times in quick succession.
• Power adjustment: With the buttons unlocked, press "+" or "-" to adjust the power between 5 and 200W in steps of 1W at a time, the device is equipped with a convenient Round Robin to quickly return to the minimum value or value maximum power.
• Three clicks on the Fire button to access the menu. The following modes are available in the menu; block settings, resetting the puff counter, background colors and brightness. The theme color options are; black & white, blue, purple, orange and pink.
• Smart mode, the chipset automatically sets the best power based on the coil resistance.
• Power Mode (W)
• Boosting Mode sets the maximum power for each coil and maximizes performance
• Eco Mode sets the minimum power for each coil allowing battery savings
• Memory Mode allows you to save five customized profiles
• TC-TCR temperature control mode.

► GeekVape Aegis Legend III 3 Kit; Upper base:
For the Aegis Legend III 3 charging port it adopts a soft silicone rubber cover (IP68), easy to lift and easy to reposition, the cover guarantees the important anti-dust and water resistance properties. The USB-C charging port can also be used for FW update. The chip of the Mod is equipped with Pass-Through, so while charging it is also possible to vape and the charging current is cut off via the protection. However, I believe that it is not advisable to vape while charging or even use the integrated USB charging function. Personally, I think it is better to use an external charger for the 18650 cells to avoid risks and unnecessary workloads that burden the circuit. The upper base is screwed to the Mod using 4 torx screws, the base is made of a material that appears to have a metallic consistency, painted in blue and decorated with a slightly rough surface texture. The 510 thread is centrally arranged on the base and has a sliding thread, the contact pin is gold/plated and is spring loaded. Aegis Legend III Mod comfortably accommodates atomizers up to 25mm in diameter without protrusions.

► Geekvape Tank Z Fli:
Geekvape Z FLI Tank (FLIp & Fill) has a base diameter of 25mm with a capacity of 5.5ml. To fill it, push the Top Cap back by pressing on the point indicated by the arrow, then the Top Cap opens and lifts thanks to a spring hinge. For refilling there are two filling holes, so just insert the tip of the bottle into one of these holes and fill. Then push the Top-Cap down and slide it back to lock it. Z FLI Tank therefore has a surprising and innovative filling system that I was very satisfied with. Otherwise this tank is an updated version of the Z tank supplied with the previous L200 kit, and is compatible with the Z1-Coils platform. Included in the kit are the two new Z-XM coils, which according to Geekvape last longer and produce more flavor. The coils are inserted with light pressure, however to extract them it is best to use the included tool. Below is the list of all coils compatible with Z FLi Tank:

• Coil Z1 0.15Ω 80-90W
• Coil Z1 0.25Ω dual coil 45-57W
• Coil Z1 0.2Ω 70-80W
• Coil Z1 0.4Ω 50-60W
• Coil XM-Z 0.15Ω 70-85W (Included in the Kit)
• Coil XM-Z 0.4Ω 50-60W (Included in the Kit)

Adjustable top airflow minimizes the possibility of leaks. The air coming from above passes through internal ducts which lead it to hit the coil quite effectively to the benefit of the aromatic yield. With the two Z-XM coils present in the kit, Geekvape wanted to improve what was perhaps the only flaw of the Z1 Coils, namely the duration which was not so long. I must say that both Z-XM coils proved to be better both in terms of duration and flavour, I consumed around 50ml of e-liquid with both and they still work great. The 0.4Ω Z-XM Coil guarantees a fluid vape, never too hot and with a great abundance of vapor, its optimal performance develops at 60W with the airflow open at 50-60%. The 0.15Ω Z-XM Coil is my favourite, with a selected power of 80W it develops a lot of vapor and gives a rich flavour, however it is advisable to open the AFC completely to avoid burning yourself when vaping distractedly, slowly and with little extractive force.

In conclusion, the Aegis Legend 3 IP68 confirms itself as a reliable, good quality device that respects the reputation of the Aegis series. With its innovative Smart Lock function with activation sensor via the heat generated by contact with the hands, it undoubtedly stands out in the Mod market. The tank included in the Kit, despite its simple nature, adopts a beautiful innovative filling system. This vaporizer generally works well and without problems. I think I can recommend this kit for anyone looking for a high-performance, resistant and reliable device.
