Pictures show the Freemax Starre on the Segelei 100w plus Box mod and two Kanger subtank mini's on istick 30w's
Hello guys and gals, so I just wanted to share my views on my new tank, the Freemax Starre, lets get a few things out of the way first. I love my Kanger tanks, they are the tanks that completely got me off the stinkies so I will always hold a special place for them, they are great.. I'm not here to bash Kanger, Im just giving you my honest opinion and my own personal thoughts and experience I've had. For me, this is the best tank out of all of them, not just better than Kanger, better than every single one of them. So lets get it over and done with now, there is a noob in town from a fairly unknown manufacturing company that has just knocked the living daylights out of the Sub tank market and marched them out of town.
This tank is a beast..

Build Quality.

You can tell straight away that the build quality isn't quite up there with the likes of Kanger and Aspire, it's not bad by any means but it's not machined to the really high quality I'm used too, the most noticeable been where you screw the base into the chimney, you sort of have to back turn it a little before screwing it on to find the thread. The packaging looks cheap, no where near to Kanger standards. Saying that, the tank looks nice, the drip tip sits nice and probably the biggest plus is the airflow control, it clicks with each turn with is really nice...and did I mention, massive, this is no cyclops, this is 1980's cylon, (thanks to Ruby Roo for that), i'll get to that later..

Coils.

Im just going to talk about the 0.25 ohm coil as I haven't used the 0.5 one, I have been vaping at 0.5 for ages so I wanted to jump straight into the 0.25 which was one of the reasons I bought the tank. I'm going to compare this to the Kanger, the Kanger coils, for me anyway would sometimes flood, I tried everything to stop this happening but now and again it would happen and they would also dry hit with max vg.
The Freemax use a Dual Vertical Coils but I prefer to call them parallel, using medical grade cotton, they are amazing, what more can I say, they hit at 20w (although pointless) and they hit at 100w (too hot for me though), no dry hits, no flooding, they wick as good as any rda, they have four large juice holes and are silver plated on the bottom and boy do they last, I'm on day 18 and I vape quite a bit, finally a coil I can rely on. The Atlantis coils fit too but really, personally, that would be a downgrade..

Filling the tank.

I wanted to mention this briefly as this tank isn't a pour and go, what I mean is, on my subtank mini I can pour the juice straight from the bottle into the tank, no chance here, you will have to have a nozzle or a pipette to fill as there only two holes either side, it takes longer and it annoys me so I wanted to mention it, it's just the way it's designed as the whole chimney screws into the tank and then the coil just pushes up against it when you screw on the base.

Vaping.

Lets get to what matters and tie a few things up, this vapes like a dream, I'm not kidding, it is wonderful and the main reason why my other tanks are not being used, I cant go back to them, it's crazy but my Subtank mini now feels like my nautilus mini did after making the switch, I've been spoilt. I am using the Segelei 100w plus box mod at 60w which gives a nice warm vape, I have been vaping "The Milkman by Vaping Rabbit which is 99% VG, its like a fog machine, I'd say, twice the vaper my Kanger tanks throw out. The vape is smooth, no spit back, nothing, I've switched out juice on the same coil ect, it just keeps on going. As mentioned in the build, the airflow on this is the largest of any tank, even the Atlantis 2 and there's not just one cylon hole, this is dual cylon airflow, its amazing, the drip tip is huge, it really is a beast of a tank, go pick one up, you wont regret it, none of the downsides or negatives I've mentioned matter when you vape it. The flavour, omg, the flavour, this is where it shines the most, it's like dripping, it really is, I can't believe I said it either but it is, compared to the Kanger tanks, this is miles ahead, it has bought some of my old juices that I vaped in my subtank back to life, vapercaper berry cheesecake being one of them, I have a custom 80vg mix and in the Freemax it is just beyond belief, so much so, I have ordered more because it's a whole new flavour. If you want clouds and flavour, without the hassle, nothing can compare.

Final thoughts..

This thing drinks juice like crazy, 5ml (which is what the tank holds) will be gone in 2 to 3 hours, well for me anyway, if your on a budget, this isn't for you, I buy mine in 200mls but if you buy say 30ml, it will be gone in a matter of days, it's an expensive game and the last thing I'd want anyone to do is go back to smoking because they can't afford to vape, it has happened, this isn't a beginners tank. I could of gone more in depth with my post but I'm going to end here, Im in love with it, all my friends have ordered one after trying mine because no clearomizer (in my opinion)ha, clearomizer, it's hard to believe, can deliver a smooth, reliable and tasty vape like this baby can. The closest is probably the Artic but even that can't beat the mighty Freemax Starre. Any questions or views, then drop a post below.

I completely agree with that review, this tank is amazing. Waiting on a Uwell Crown to get here to see how they compare.

Yeah it looks like a really nice tank, my only concern is the airflow but not having vaped it, I can't comment. Those dual 0.25 coils should be pretty amazing though, please let me know what it's like when it arrives, thanks :)

Edit, having done a little research I think these tanks are going to be very close, I'd say the flavour ect will be the same, dare I say the Uwell might edge ahead with a better build quality and of course being top fill. I still say it will be down to the airflow though, either way, doubt you can go wrong with either..

Yeah, Rixsta, I think it's going to be very close too. Most of the reviews do give the edge to the Crown for the exact reasons you state: top fill and better build quality. So we will see. Either way, the Freemax Starre will not be going "into the drawer," like everything else has already, it's just too good: flavor, clouds, and the coils seem to just keep on going. Hopefully the Crown is just as good, or a little better, then I will have 2 great tanks.

One aspect of the Starre that I like is that it will accept Atlantis coils. I've been rocking one in mine for over a week now and have had no problems. I prefer the stock coils but in a pinch, it's nice to have options.

True, options are always good. I just vaped on my Subtank Mini and apart from the flavour I know why I don't want to use it any more, after using the Freemax it feels like I have to suck hard now on the subtank to get a good vape, where the freemax you get the vaper and flavour from little effort.

I vaped a whole 5ml tank of The Milkman in less than two hours today, I may have to start doing some overtime to afford to vape this tank, wow that juice is nice in this and goes so well with a cup of coffee, I have a problem I know. It's funny how you get used to these clouds, I used to look at them and think, geez but now its normal. I think smoking an ciggy would be absolutely pants now haha, ew, just the thought of it.

So today I tried cucumber cooler by vapercaper in this tank, it tastes amazing, yeah, I was a bit, hmmm, by the name but I've had it steeping for 3 weeks as I had it made fresh, what the.....This tank just brings out so much flavour. If your in the UK, go buy some of Mark's juice and pick up a Starre tank, mind blowing..

The Crown has arrived, compared to the Starre Freemax, pretty much the same-Awesome!!!! I would give it a slight edge for build quality and top fill, although the Freemax I got has fairly smooth threads and I find it pretty easy to fill. If someone said pick one, I might give the edge to the Crown, but you can't go wrong with either. I'm getting slightly more flavor out of the Freemax when vaping them back to back, but I have a bad cold, so it might just be in my head.

Would I order another Crown? No, probably not, unless top fill was really important to me, otherwise I would just stick to the Freemax Starre.

Yeah it's going to take some to beat this tank at the moment, those coils are just awesome in the starre I just wish it didn't drink so much, I mean, hell, it drinks more than me ..

I have a Freemax, Subtank, had an Arctic as well as a Herakles and I will be honest the Herakles is my favorite with the Freemax in second.

Herakles, dam good tank, no doubt about that, I dunno, I just really like the coils on the starre, I also like the afc more on the starre, personal preference, all three of them are great though..

Just to add, the starre drip tip does get hotter than the herakles at high wattage..
