I regularly vape 80/15/5 (VG/H2O/alcohol base flavoring). I find that if you go below 80% VG, the juice becomes too thin and causes flooding and leaking. 80/20 and 85/15 unflavored also work well. (That is with 24mg Nicotine)

Certain tanks give me occasional flooding no matter how tight and right I have everything set, this also happens with 80% vg, so in my experience it's not so much the thickness of the juice, rather the mechanics of the tank.

I recall somebody saying that when the wick (in his case cotton) is heated up it expands and allows for more efficient absorbtion. I noticed the flavour difference and the improved absorbtion after firing a few times then rejuicing.

How many times do you fire before actually vaping?

Sorry for the late reply. Rayon shrinks a bit rather than expand. I usually fire it once or twice, just to see if the vapor is coming up even from both coils, then start vaping. I don't bother firing it until dry and re-dripping or anything like that. Wick, test fire or two and straight to vaping. It's either spot on or gets there after a couple of hits.

Agree 100%

I love Rayon. The wicks last much longer than cotton too.
