Have rebuilt the kayfun many times this seems to be very similiar to the kayfun setup.

What's the reason for running the wicks part way down into the threads? Has anybody tried it not doing this? I know with kayfun we are just laying the wick on the deck

Thanks

Just to add another point to what others have already said. On the Kayfun the inner air hole is on top of a ledge, with the wicks lying around the bottom of a "valley" of sorts, with juice channels underneath. So the valley (sorry, can't think what else to call it) can be relatively flooded so long as it's not bad enough to reach the top of the deck. On the Fogger V4 though the air holes are completely level with the tops of the channels. Just the tinniest flooding and juice is running out. Put simply, the Kayfun has much smaller channels that you need to just barely block, Fogger V4 much larger channels that require more substantial blocking (but still only comparatively speaking, as everyone has pointed out, be careful to not overfill these channels.)

Probably because I also came from Marietta myself.
(But I live in a silly place called Buford now)

hahaha
I came from Puerto Rico, but been living in Marietta since 2006. I work in downtown Atlanta so comute is no fun for me, about an hour and a half each way to drive 40 miles to work.

My Fogger V4 glass tank broke the other day and the steel tank from the Aqua is a perfect fit. I have been using it the last couple of days and it is totally leak free. I ordered a couple of clear tanks for the Aqua and one is definitely going to go into the Fogger.

Was that the 22mm FT version Aqua?

I'm glad that they are at least fixing the control ring. I can't, for the life of me, figure out how you can put a product in production before doing some sort of testing or quality checks. Not baching the Fogger V4, just China gear in general. Just venting I guess, the more options they make, the more we buy!

Well I got two of the updated versions in yesterday. The threaded airflow on them can only be opened enough to expose about half of the air holes. Even with only half of the airflow exposed It is almost exactly the same draw as on my EHPro aqua clone. It will almost entirely block off the airflow, there is so little airflow with it closed that it is unusable like that. The AFC does stay in place well when fully open or closed but in the middle it is still easily movable by the slightest bump. Not a problem for me as fully open is about where I want it anyways. I am thinking this change was more for easier production purposes.

The copper contact is just a tiny little screw, about the size of the fill hole screw. It still screws into a SS center pin for most of the run so I doubt it is really making much of a difference. I might end up changing it back to a SS screw just so I don't have to keep the corrosion off of it.

The flavor on these defiantly seems muted compared to my aqua clones. I started out with the same build that was in my aqua clones so I might be able to tweak the build for better flavor. The wicking in the fogger is not as good as the aqua so far with my builds. The wicks seem to dry out quickly and I suspect that may be the reason for the reduction in flavor I am getting. I had a lot of trouble getting one of them to wick at all, which drove me nuts as the build decks on both of them was identical and only one gave me problems. I did end up getting it working after several replacing the wicks several times. I think I may end up drilling out the juice channels to a larger size.

If I can sort out my wicking issues on these I see a lot of potential here. The fogger does sort out a lot of the complaints I have with the aqua while keeping a similar vape. It being 22mm not 21mm is nice. I love the fact that it holds so much more juice than the aqua, it seems like I fill them up every 5 mins. It also doesn't build up crud around the AFC like my aqua clones, since that area always seemed to be wet with juice on my aqua clones wich seemed to collect gunk like a magnet. I was also starting to forget how nice it is to be able to see the juice levels in my tanks. It is also easier for me to fill the fogger as I always flooded the aqua every time I filled it. The threading is much better on my aqua clones, but the threading on my fogger is on par with my tobeco KFL+ clones. I also think the thumb screws on the aqua makes it a little tougher to build, but that may just be my fat fingers talking.

LittLe heLp here,, where did you guys get your v4's? cant reaLLy go for us based stores, because the shipping fees to me out in the phiLippines is a tad too high for me. XD

so is fasttech the way to go?

btw , if anyone did get em from fasttech, is everything that's supposed to be SS, SS? what with the LittLe high pricing and aLL. (yeah, I pinch aLL the pennies I can)

The new fogger v4+ dual coil setup

Its a ..... to build dual coils (I assumed it would be) I built two 2.8 ohm coils using 32 kanthal so I ended up at 1.4 ohms... which is right where I wanted to be. I used cotton for wicks and ran the cotton about a 1/3 of the way down in the vertical slots. I wet them to hold them in place. Make sure you cut the xtra wire off real close I had a short from wire touching cone but I fixed that up. The adjustment ring works fine and I used the bottom screw for filling.

Its a real good flavorful vape just going to take some practice setting it up. I am running it 12 watts (mean mode) on flat head max no flooding or wicking issues
