LOL! I get it... However, a torch is not really a must. I've got one but nowadays I find more convenient to coil and attach cold, then glow by pulsing the mod. I wonder why you haven't been successful in making a formed coil glow with a Bic lighter. Perhaps you are loosing too much heath to your plyers? Try leaving longer legs. I just took pics of a quickly done 1.3Ω 9w/2.4mm cold and heated to a bright red with a common Tokai mini torch (Mx$20 at Walmart --1 USD = 13 MXN). The glowing one is beyond my webcam dynamic range but, believe me, it glowed.
The focus and exposure are shot, sorry.
My atty is full of liquid so I cannot attach it to my mod and fire it so you can see this done but it's a piece of cake.
Edit: you can see here how close and tight the coil is. No real need to oxidize. I keep the Butane 1300°C for the mesh.

I wasn't holding the coil by the legs, I was holding it by the coil (compressing it). Yes, I think the pliers were acting like a heat sink.
Nice tip about compressing while attached.
The best way it was recommended to me is to make a "tensioned contact coil" (see this video by superx), no oxidizing even just wrap with high tension to make it really tight, glow it and ONLY compress when needed.
Well I only have a problem with the latest Fogger V4.3 because the fill hole is below the deck in a "cutout". So the juice has to flow around multiple corners. I can't even drain it with a needle! Juice just won't flow around those stupid corners. The first versions are great, I can just stick a needle nose juice bottle in there into the glass section and fill it up or drain it.
Place it upright over a tumbler and blow through the mouthpiece. You will collect >90% of the juice.
Got the newest version, and I love it, coiled vertical, it's a great vape, no filling problems or leaking

Dual 28 awg 8 wrap 5/32" coils (these are 1 ohm each for a total of .5 ohms
top coil leads should be on positive post
Use about 2 1/2 inches of Hemp fiber
Slightly roll the fiber and criss-cross around the coils
Drag some fiber (a little down each channel (not much)
add another piece of fiber shaped in a ring the diameter of the base cover around the edge of the base between the posts & the cover

Thanks, had to cut down my flavors it hits so well, gotta say, better then my Russians, KFs, Taifuns or Aquas, though it's not made nearly as well as the aforementioned, the design concept (bigger base and bell, air holes closer to each coil) should be copied by those vendors, as it is far superior.
Edit: my chimney comes off and stays with the cap when I unscrew, which is a benefit as I can easily empty a full tank to tinker, by holding it upside down, unscrewing and holding the glass with the base, as the liquid is retained without leakage

I'm getting things ready for when the f4's I ordered get here, will be building my first coils. Got some 28g and 30g, side snips, and coil jig headed this way. Have just about anything else I might need from what I've read. Can't wait to try this thing out, might have to get a mech, or a 30amp mod. Oh when does the spending stop. Have had the V4 in rotation for three days (.7ohms, 24watts, little over 4volts) and so far it is outperforming my aqua's, 91's, all my tanks really, in every area. I'm still on my honeymoon with this bad boy, so we'll see what time has to say, but as of now, this thing rocks. Could make a guy feel guilty, something this good at this price point. Now if someone would come up with a bit of a nano kit to use when needed, this system would be complete.
