Strange thread ??
Not many dry herb atties?
Lots of all in ones instead tho????

These are all 510 devices that will screw on to your box mods
Google the names to find them online ....

Modpodlabs StemPod, Rastabuddhatao Splinter, Rastabuddhatao Splinter Z, MistVape Imp, MistVape Impcognito, Dreamwood Glow, the IHeat, Musa510, Tubo TetraX, Divine Tribe Gen2, VapeLife G43, Prrl labs Ember ...

The MistVape Imp and Impcognito are smaller devices which are ideal for micro dosing.

That POTVone is a modified rebranded Fenix mini which is also rebranded under many other names, all of which are slightly different ... Fury2, Smono 3, Sutra Mini, Quant, Grindhouse, Hippie Rebel .... I'm sure there's a few more too. Personally I'm not a fan of battery packs or built in batteries and would much rather they took 18650s like my mods.

each to their own but if its for health and you only really need it at night id go for a good quality desktop.
All of the handhelds like the titan and hebe etc arent going to last as long. Even the more upmarket portables are getting a little gimmicky with rechargeable batteries that will possibly eventually have issues. Albeit there are some very good handhelds now. If you need to take it with you yeah a handheld makes sense but for night use at home it was a desktop for me.
I couldnt justify forking out for a volcano but i settled on the arizer extreme Q for AUS$250. A good canadian company and the thing appears bullet proof. I can leave it on 24 hours for days on end. Its also handy and therapeutic to use essential oils.
With a DDave mod (that can be picked up on ebay or dhgate etc for a couple of bucks) and elbow packing its awesome. Great for microdosing. I find im using heaps less herb than i was using when smoking. The heating element has a lifetime warranty so its only a few pieces of glass if you are clumsy, screens and a whip hose that needs updating every so often. I dont bother to much these days and just use either direct draw or a whip but initially it was good to transition from smoking going through a bubbler or water pipe.
JMO but id go for the best desktop i could afford.

Good points hairtrigger, The only rig I've used that I actually liked was the Volcano, the portables I 've tried, n not a lot of them, all tasted like popcorn to me, the big

,
If I had room for a desktop I would buy the Q as it has good reviews and though a bit beyond my budget might be worth using the credit card but my home is a small mobile and overcrowded as is, if I don't stay on top of it turns into clutter hell.
Yes a built-in battery is going to fail and I'd prefer a replaceable battery but it all comes down to money and a person's individual situation. I've been house bound for most of the last 3 years, first sick from chemo n radiation, lost 30 pounds n most of my hair n I normally weight 145 pounds wet, then knee replacement a year ago, rehab extra long as expected so I just got able to go without cane a couple months ago. So besides no room for a desktop, come spring I'll be spending a lot of time fishing, mushroom picking n a few camping trips so a portable makes sense. I'd like to only spend around 100 bucks.

Though the doctor's say I'm doing well until I hit that 5 year mark the life expectancy of a built-in battery mod may be longer than mine. With so much I need health wise it's hard to justify spending big money, to me, on a rig to toke cannabis.

Those who have the resources to try the more expensive rigs great for them and if they don't like or use long term what they buy it's no big deal, if I spend 200 bucks and it's the wrong purchase I'll fret about n kick myself repeatedly for it.
I've been making more edibles lately, good medicine n cost me a used mini crockpot at thrift store $3.99 and some organic coconut oil.
The title of thread if I was redoing it I would change to something like "cannabis vape options for around or under $100.00". , as threads take on a direction of there own.

I have to get off the internet as I'm running out of data again which contributes to my lack of knowledge about options presented as I have limited internet time n can't watch any videos, there is only the pax for sale in the local stores and no screw on atomizers for cannabis here either.
Thanks for all the recommendations everyone, I definitely know more about cannabis vaping options now then when I started this thread.

Today is the present, open it and enjoy.
ty everyone

yeah i see your dilemma, just about everything has its pros and cons but from the situation you describe a portable is probably going to tick the most boxes for you.
Sometimes to many options can make it harder to make a decision, so keeping it simple and ticking off the main considerations might be the way to go.
Sorry to hear you've been having such a rough time buddy. I hope the worst of it is behind you now.
Some fishing, mushy picking & camping sounds like some great therapy in itself.

"Today is the present, open it and enjoy."

Inspirational stuff mate.
Best of luck Earl.

Ah OK - I vote Dyanavap Vapcap
I'd grab 19M in their Black Friday sale and pickup some single, dual and triple torch lighters to have a play with and find your preference.
An induction heater can transform the Dynavap experience, if you find you like the Vapcap and have more money to spend on vaping in the future (or if you fancy a DiY project).

Speaking of DiY it's not difficult to make a kick ... vape using a halogen bulb, positioned in a tube (to heat the air moving through the tube), that you connect to a dimmer switch (to control the temp), out of easily sourced cheap parts ... if you're that way inclned. Lots of examples online if you search for diy halogen log vape.

I just ordered the Vapcap 2019M, thanks to @Woofer for emphasizing it would be a good fit for me. After really looking into it, it's almost a no-brainer...looks perfect for microdosing, and has the benefit of being mechanical. Looks easy to use, easy to clean, great for camping trips and general use. Really looking forward to trying it out :)

Good for you! I expect you will be very pleased with the Dynavap M.
Most have good outcomes from the beginning and with use results will improve.
Find a heat source that suits you, fwiw I mostly use a Blazer Firefox Mini.
A grinder is useful, the Santa Cruz Shredder (SCS) is probably the most favored.
It is easy to clean and needs cleaning infrequently, probably months for your usage.
Added bonus the M works well with concentrates and hash too.

Excited for you! :D

It looks awesome and I'm really excited to try it! I got the starter kit at PuffItUp which includes a torch, so I'll just try whatever torch it includes at first, then look into other heating options. It appeals to me because it's very similar to smoking in some ways, and appears to be fairly indestructible.

That RBT Splinter Z discussed in another thread here still has my eye as well. If I really like this I may try that also, but in looking at the two, this is the one in which I really have no doubt will work perfectly for me. I'm hoping MJ combustion will be a thing of my past :thumb:

I actually had no idea it works with concentrates. Awesome!!

Super excited - the dynavap has arrived! Incredible turn around from PuffItUp, and they even included some munchies :thumb:

Looks awesome. I got the starter kit which came with some cleaning supplies, spare o-rings etc and the included Dynastash is absolutely gorgeous. I partially disassembled the dynavap and it is soaking in some IPA. I am stoked to try it out this evening! Will be testing it with some Mimosa, a favorite Sativa of mine.

If this works like I think it will, I will love it. I'm hoping it works well with taking one hit and saving the rest for later. My main complaint with prior vapes I've tried has been the inefficiency with microdosing. Pretty much have to pack them full and finish the load in one session. This appears to be better at "on demand" vaping. Will post back after I've tried it!

I also have a Splinter Z on the way which should come next week - will post my thoughts on that as well.

That Dynastash (the wooden box) is so gorgeous I can't stop gushing about it. It has two compartments inside - one holds the mod, the other holds some ground herb. Super convenient and has a magnet on the side which holds your mod in place and can be used to help speed up the cooldown process. I'm going to wax it, make it shine

So, the Dynavap is perfect. I'm amazed this didn't catch my eye a couple of years ago. It's exactly what I've been looking for. Easy to use, incredibly efficient. It's actually fun to use, too - there's something ritualistic about pulling out a lighter and manually heating it up. The vapor is tasty and so much easier on my lungs than smoking. I'm incredibly pleased!

I have to agree completely! Glad to hear you love your first Dynavap vapcap. :vapor:
If you insert the mouthpiece into a bit of latex tubing, it makes a perfect seal when used with a 14mm water pipe fitting.
I sealed off the "shotgun" hole by changing the position of the internal gaskets/o-rings and use the device hands-free in a water tool. IMO, it's close to perfect.

Cheers

First is right! I'm sure a second is in my near future. When I find something I love, I have to get a backup or two :D

I'm looking into the different ways of heating it. I really love the thought of using a candle. I love candles and think it would be a neat way of doing it. Quiet too, so as to not wake up Mrs Sloth if I'm vaping after she's asleep. The versatility is really neat. The way you like doing it sounds awesome!

Really pleased you're liking the Vapcap

Small alcohol burners are quite popular with the VC community as they burn like a candle but don't leave soot all over the cap.
Thanks! Yeah I'm really interested in those...saw a cool brass one for $10 on amazon. Little nervous with them, but may give it a shot. The soot from a candle is unappealing though I guess it can be wiped off.

I love a happy beginning! :)
It is my impression that the vapvap is the vape that has the best success getting peeps away from combusting.
