Let me start by thanking the great veterans who take the time to explain to the rest of us!!!

On to my ?????? - I have both the EgoT and the 510T and I am noticing a huge difference in the taste of the same juice in both models. It was exacerbated when I got my first order of Mrs.T's juices - the flavor in the little 510T is terrific - very muted in the EgoT. Now we all know how small that battery is on the 501T - so I am always running into the bathroom to check the charger.......my question is "does anybody understand what makes the difference in the flavor so rich on the little guy and so muted on the big tank"???? The batteries on both models are brand new. Is heat a factor in producing taste?

Heat is certainly a factor in how well an e-cig "transmits" flavour - up to a point. If you go beyond that point the flavour starts to be reduced (it can happen with things like high voltage mods, and low resistance atty's) and some liquids stand up to high heat better than others.. There are other factors which I think have an effect - the shape and size of the atty for example. I've always personally found that the larger body models give a more 'airy' vapour, while the smaller atty's and exposed bridge types give a denser vapour which I prefer. I can't give a definitive explanation, but my guess would be that the greater volume in the atomizer body of things like the 801 or the eGo tank allows more fresh air to mix with the vapour in the 'chamber' and that gives it the more 'airy' quality to the vapour. The efficiency with which the liquid can be wicked from the tank to the coil is also important.

From what I've heard (and you've confirmed) the 510-T works very well, but is hampered by the shorter battery life and small tanks.

My question would be if you like the 510-T atties and you have an Ego, why not use the atty's you prefer with the larger Ego battery for the best of both worlds? They are compatible, and you can use a cone which goes over the 510-T atty (sold separately) if you like.
