When I did a hybrid wick, only used enough mesh to span between the screw heads, so could still have the fiber core go down to the deck. But there was no real discernable improvements over just large coils and ramie fiber. But a major pita to construct.

Yeah, heck I got the ehpro on sale, so was not to bad, it's polished though, possibly SS plated, not sure. Everything else is pretty much 1:1. The real deal is always the better value imo though.

The only purrfect clone I've received is the infinite Magma clone. Can't tell it from the Authentic without a very close inspection. Both by the way, are the only rba's I own that can out Vape the Flashi.

The Magma is a must have rba, even if you don't like drippers, well if you own a flashi, guess you do, ok, then, even if you don't like drippers without tanks, you'll love the Magma, clone or authentic. Have Maggie vertical built at 0.18 ohms and oh my my, yeah, one damn fine vape.

Oh well, time for my second cup of coffee, you guys kept me up to late last night, slept in till 20:00

Actually settled to around 1 ohm since I run out of mesh.
Braided cotton seems to keep up and without the screw in airhole the draw is jolly loose.
Might wanna get some G-Plat since my .45 kanthal isn't thick enough to go below 1 ohm with a macro long enough to cover both posts.

Yeah, for builds around 1, braided cotton, German silica with SS mesh, hemp, or just ramie, all will wick adequately. Just once one goes below 0.7 ohms then alternate wicks become a concern. Least that's what I found to be the case. or something like that. lol

Not feeders, but the whole setup, that is. Kinda wondering how big of an cotton cloud I need to add under the meshwick since w/out cotton I get a lot of gurgle.

Errr...yes, just testing if you pay attention to this thread...

So does it transfer liquid between cotton and mesh enough to keep up say around 20 watts with heavy (around 80%) VG?

Hybrid wick works fine on the flashi, just more trouble than it's worth. I just used a section large enough to span between the screw heads, so the fiber still covered the posts. Then run the fiber down to the deck like normal. Personally, always tuck the tails under the build, to further feed it.

Yeah 20 watts, easy peasy, long as the feeder wicks are adequate.

If it's wicking too slow, just cover the airhole and to a dry pull for a second. Instant saturation. It keeps up with my .3-.4 builds on a Mech (40-55W)

Has anyone seen the Ephro Pontus? Looks very similar to the FEV, Top Tank without using feeder wicks (just a hole), and you can "force drip" by clicking in the drip tip. 3 post design with a nice juice well

yeah was looking at that, only 3.8 ml though and glass tank section. Saw it at vapordna but waiting for it to appear at 101vape or fulidvape. Ehpro did such a killer job on the Big Buddha, have a second one arriving today. The Buddha will give the flashi a run for it's vape, native dual coil, Kayfun style pressure wicking platform, but with twice the potential. Me like.
