If you can solder the wire to the pin it should be fine. I'd hold the pin in place with your thumb when tightening or loosening that positive screw going forward.

I've never used a soldering iron in my life, but I still might give it a whirl. I certainly can't make it any MORE useless, heh.
Thanks to a very helpful forum member though, I've been provided with a more viable option.

Just curious, does your base come apart? Or is the wire sticking up through the post hole? My FT FeV came with a detached post too but I can't get the base apart and the wire is stuffed inside... waiting on a replacement to ship.

Yeah guys, I've been vaping the EHPro clone for a few months now. It's definitely a great design. It wicks much better than the kayfun styles IMO.

If it comes apart, I sure as heck can't get it to separate. And there's no wire coming out of the post hole. It might be shoved down in the base somewhere.

Yeah that's going to be tricky then to fish the wire up and out of the hole, the wire length may not even be long enough to do it that way, I haven't tried it on mine though I might tonight. Some people have reported being able to get the base apart but mine looks press fit really tight.
