Find a good vape shop

My first suggestion do all people who are actually first starting out on using E cigarettes, is to find a good vape shop locally. Don't walk in money in hand and buy the first thing. Ask questions and get a feel for the people working there. This is not always possible, but luckily I live near Chicago and there seems to be shops opening up everywhere.

I am in my 50's, but I enjoy meeting everyone that is interested in vaping and will often be a mentor to the older folks that are starting out in the local shops. This is because many of the fine folks that work in shops are college aged and seem to be very busy. I can take the time to explain things and make suggestions.

I usually suggest getting an on "EGO" or "EVOD" system for the first few weeks or months to see if vaping is right for that person. That is how I started and it makes good sense. The Kanger EVOD system is solid and if I was starting out that is what I would use. Volcano inferno tanks and batteries are also very good in my opinion. Sadly volcano only seems to be available from the few volcano stores or from their online store. Kanger is available all over and getting replacement coils is easier. Joyetech is also a quality product. There are lots of cheap "Hooka-pens" that sell on cards in racks at gas stations and conveince stores; but in my opinion you get what you pay for and I like quality. This is another reason to find a good Vape shop. They can answer your questions, make suggestions and hopefully fix the early mistakes that we all make. A good shop will always treat you respectfully and make you feel welcome. They will also stand behind the products that they sell.

i've been around for a few years now and own all kinds of cool gear, but I did so slowly at first. I originally wanted to stop smoking for health reasons; but my health has improved and vaping does not affect me the way stinky cigarettes did. I also use very low nicotine if any at all these days. So I continue to "vape" recreationally.

But as I was saying at the beginning there have been more and more shops that cater to mature ( and business) people and provide service as well as good products. There is really not a one size fits all product and helping people make good decisions should be the aim of every business manager/owner.

When you find that great shop that helps you, tell a friend or two. That is how this industry will grow and help people find an alternative to tobacco products (which ecigarettes are NOT). This is also how the people that are in this industry will outshine those who are just here to make a quick buck.

This is is my opinion.

thank you for reading.
