So I may have gone a little wild at BCV just now...all INW...

Black for pipe
Black cherry for pipe
French Pipe
Gold Ducat

Also got some biscuit and chocolate. From TPA, got EM and AP. and from FA, got Joy.

Will be a while before I can test them all but may the mixing begin :w00t:

--splurge entirely caused by tasting dark for pipe!

Just received some Indian and some RY4 from BCV. I've seen where most folks use RY4 somewhere around the 7 to 10% range. However, there's not much info on the usage percent of the Indian. What's your take on the Indian, percentage wise? Most of the other Hangsen tobaccos have been fine with me between the 3 and 4 percent mark.....

I would start at the 3 - 4% mark if that's what your used to. It's better to start low and add more if needed.

Hi, first post after a few years of not vaping. I'm planning on ordering some tobacco flavoring, maybe half/half Inawera and Flavourart. Problem is there is a lot of tobaccos between the two.

I'm trying to find a flavor close to Liqua Traditional tobacco. It tastes like fresh tobacco on inhale (slightly dry), exhale I get a bit of honey or syrup flavor (but not alot). I'm thinking Liqua uses Flavourart because of the "Italian Flavors" that they advertise.

I also don't like any sort of nutty flavor in tobaccos. Not even a hint of it. Gives me headaches.

Any suggestions for a shopping list, of flavors that may come close to this so I can narrow it down?

"Traditional Tobacco eLiquid is appreciated as the closest alternative to the taste of traditional cigarettes. The full yet smooth tobacco flavor has undertones of sandalwood, leaving a sweet taste in the mouth."

So....do you agree with the companies description on this tobacco?

I might advise putting Inawera Gold Ducat in the basket. Honey, tobacco and slight ashy taste. Not too sweet.

Hi, welcome to the thread and congrats on firing the old vapor trails up again. :vapor:

I read a lot of posts here on the ECF and it seems to me that chasing a specific flavor can be expensive and frustrating. I'd advise picking up some Inawera Honey, TFA Sweetener, and then some straight ahead tobacco flavors to experiment with. Your stipulation of no nutty flavors narrows your selection quite a bit, but there's still plenty to choose from. I would advise one or two from each line until you get a handle on what you like best.

I don't get any added nutty to any of these.

SC (super concentrate, China): Cohiba
Inawera: Cuban TA
Hangsen: RY1
Flavourart: Royal

I'm not big on the Flavourart tobacco flavors anymore. I like several of them, but like the SC, Inawera, and Hangsen flavors so much better.

I've never vaped Liqua traditional tobacco liquid, but here are a couple of tobaccos which might head you toward your goal.

Mini reviews:

SC ~ French Pipe:

Wonderful flavor! Truly a nice pipe tobacco style flavor with light notes of chocolate, cedar/sandalwood, caramel, leather and a nice musty earthy goodness. Tested at 5%, but wanted a bit more.

Seller:
Super Concentrate Bull City Vapor

INW ~ Gold Ducat:
Tastes much like the RYO Bali Shag's top notes - more accurately, it tastes almost identical to Amsterdam Shag by Peter Stokkebye RYO tobacco. A pleasant tobacco flavor with a touch of honey and ash; a gentle mixture of golden Virginia and Cavendish. This is definitely not a black Cavendish or maduro-type of tobacco flavor, in that the taste itself is much more reminiscent of the lighter-colored cut tobacco leaves than those darkened, heavily-cured “throatier” tobacco tastes. There's a sweet touch of a white wine note in there as well!

What % do you use Gold Ducat? I mix it up solo at 5% and am loving it. I am having trouble letting it steep because I enjoy it fresh. Any ideas about flavorings to mix with it?

Is INW's French Pipe very different from HS? The descriptions make it seem like it would be but I wanted to know from anyone who has tried both.

Really interested in trying Arabic and Indian from HS as well.

I usually hang around the 3% mark with GD. I mixed it with pear, fig, coconut, rum, Fuji apple, whiskey..... It's just a great tobacco.

I have tried them both and here are some thoughts:

INW ~ French Pipe
Taste as it sounds. Include many various flavors: chocolate undertones, cocoa, vanilla and cavendish tobacco on the inhale, and a slight floral note on the exhale, peanuts and a soft biscuit after taste. Preferred single flavor mix: 3.5%

HS ~ French Pipe
Hard to pin down, but the tobacco is very flavorful and has a slightly fermented fruit quality about it; perhaps a bit of a bitter nut and chocolate notes; slight ash on the exhale. Quite tasty. Mixed at 5% but wanted a bit more.

That recipe seems like it'd be good. I was thinking of doing something similar. I want something close to Tripoli but I'm not trying to make an exact copy. I was thinking of using honey, fig, almond and maybe a tiny bit of cinnamon.

After I tried the HS French Pipe fresh I immediately mixed up a 30ml batch. U have a feeling I'm going to go through a lot of it. I'll probably throw in a bottle of the INW with my next order.

I definitely agree with your thoughts on the HS. That fermented quality is what does it for me I think.

One of the reviews of Arabic mentioned a molasses note from it. D'you think that's accurate?

Enigma is a good description for Arabic! To me, it's the most complex tobacco I've found to date; one of the reasons I like it so much. And yes, to me it does have a dark molasses, honey, caramel and a few other flavors swirling around in there. A simple and tasty mix with the Arabic.....adding HS Beer and a bit of INW DNB. It's my nightcap vape.
