He bought his from a local B&M, used the eBay photo of an example of what the battery he bought looks like.

Look up a picture of a genuine aw from a reputable source and compare it to what you have.
The one in the picture doesn't resemble any genuine aw's I have, that isn't conformation that what you have is a fake.

Beyond that I can't really say.

the button top is what sticks out to me, the shrink wrap isnt the same as other AW's but that is no guarantee of anything

Never paid attention to that before, but you're right.
I have an AW & an Efest sitting side by side, and that definitely an Efest or AH cell. The AW has more red - less black than the Efest.

So there is nothing wrong with the batteries, the OP just payed way to much for them.
I show the Efest cells for $13.99 for two.

With batteries I always buy from a trusted place. Ecspecially if you sub ohm. I feel it's worth the extra 2-5 dollars just to be safe unless you are 100% convinced its real. With fake batteries and stuff from china you could recieve a battery that appears 100% real and it's not. China is amazing at cloning, only if they could design their own stuff.

When I picked up my Provari starter last week the guy in the shop showed me that the batts I got were the (new) logo AW ones. He showed me what some of the fake ones looked like and it resembles the Ebay one you linked? But like said above with all those positive feedbacks who knows....

Silver sticker with AW are supposedly the correct ones.

Real AW 18350 on the left Fake on the right (best of my knowledge)

Notice the font and color diff. You can see faint numbering under the fake wrap and the size is slightly larger

Real one on the left has outlined recycle logo whereas the fake on the right is shaded in completely and font is much larger.

I cant say if they are fake but a 99.8% positive rating after 138,000+ sales is pretty impressive and i would be willing to chance it, but since the price is about average i would just get them from an authorized dealer myself.

up to you - comes with an ebay guarantee

thanks alot i didnt buy it from there it just looks exactly the same ...my worries are that the label isnt the same as the pictures i saw in google
