I see people selling their flavored e-juices in the classified section, claiming they now only vape "no flavor" juice. I have seen other members casually mention it here on the forums too. Please tell me about vaping unflavored e-juice? Why would a person decide to do this, and what does it taste like?

It tastes a little boring at start to be honest, but after a day or two you can taste a hint of sweetness. The exact taste will depend on the base composition and nicotine. Not all base juice tastes the same.

Why would someone do this? Perhaps because someone has flavor fatigue, allergies, or has not found their all day vape flavoring. It's the cheapest way to vape and there is no messing with mixing and buying flavors. It also has the lowest risk profile, since most of the potential risk in vaping would likely come from flavoring.

Another benefit is that it pairs with absolutely all drinks and food, as opposed to flavored juice which can sometimes be a total mismatch.

I don't vape completely without flavour but I use just a tiny wee bit of flavour. And always the same.

First came flavour fatigue - and I was just tired of looking for a flavour that suits me for longer time. I was saturated and did not really like any of the flavours. I think commercial liquids are all over-flavoured.

Then I asked myself: Do I use artificial flavour for cooking, do I drink flavoured juices? No and no. Did I smoke cigarettes with varying flavours? No I didn't. So why should I vape with flavour and/or different flavours, just because it is customary to do so? I wanted to stop it.

I opted for Vanilla, looked for a brand that suits me and reduced the flavour step by step. Today, I simply cannot imagine using more than about 0,5 percent flavour (or even less) and as a matter of fact, I could stop that tiny bit too.

And yes: the coils live for ever :) . I clean them anyway and change the cotton frequently, but there are no real gunky coils any more.

I will be a vaper 3 years this August. The first year or so was all about menthol....gotta find my menthol....yuck that's mint, give me menthol. Found a great one and then tasted a bakery and the menthol went out the door. The bakery/sweet stayed with me for about six months and then I decided to order unflavored 70/30 mix with 12mg nic. Awesome! It tasted like nothing really, but gave me a good throat hit and vapor. I was no longer wondering and buying different eliquids only to have them sit. Unflavored is the way for me! It is the closest to smoking I think, no we didn't smoke flavored cigs lol. If it gets boring I put one drop of a flavor I like into 6 ounces and it is so easy and good! Costs me less than $4 a week to vape now. :)

Unflavored is just that, unflavored -- but it ain't exactly tasteless. It's good to me. I am an avid drinker of sparkling water (no added flavor) and to me it is a similar thing. It's not like just sucking in plain ol' warm air (just like sparkling water is not just like drinking plain ol' water); it's a very faintly tasting vape with all the benefits of any vape, just without the flavor (I replaced my years of sugary soda drinking with just soda water). If you like your nic high, you can still have TH. If you like your nic low, it can be smooth. If you like max VG it can be slightly sweet and billowy as any max VG juice. Extra easy on coils and nothing to exhaust your taste buds with -- and it's also good for reviving your vaper's tongue should you get it. And one benefit to unflavored that I rarely have ever seen mentioned is that it is one surefire way to taste how spot-on you have your wicking/build, as there is no extra noise to the vape to drown out a shoddy set-up. I would sometimes vape unflavored to test my build to see how perfect it was.

Note: Depending on the nic you use for your unflavored vaping, should you use nic, it can really change how your unflavored tastes. That's one of the pulls for me: I love the taste of nic, but with added flavor i'ts harder to isolate that taste unless you got some really funky nic! LOL.

Lastly: Like @TraceyS alluded to, it sure is cheap! It's almost as cheap as water -- actually it is cheaper than water. haha

Where is the best place to purchase bulk unflavored say 70/20 or 50/50

I don't know my preference yet as I'm only really getting into Vaping

I don't care for flavored juices at most just some menthol all I care about is my nicotine ,just like a few of you said , we didn't smoke flavored cigs (I was a marb light smoker but for some reason prefer extreme ice menthol while Vaping)

Long story short what site is the most trustworthy / for the price bulk unflavored juice vendor

And on average what are rough prices

It would be best to do it yourself (check the DIY forum), but you can find it at most places that sell flavorings. What nic level do you vape at, @Mikedin?

Very easy to make your own unflavored juice in the nic ratio you want.
Or I tend to order from Mount Baker Vapor, large bottles of unflavored
and mix to the nic ratio I want (i.e. 15 ml of 12 mg plus 15 ml of 6 mg
will get you 30 ml of 9 mg). I'm lazy like that. After two years of vaping
the flavors tasted so artificial and heavy to me. Unflavored is kind of like
vaping 7-up to me. And no coil gunking either.

6mg Unflavored Nicotine Base for e-liquid/e-juice - ecigExpress

Just one of many places, and not actually the best pricing (I just am using them as an example, but check the post above mine). 250 mL of 6 mg in whatever ratio you want for $9.99. A liter of 6 mg/mL will be about the cost of one 30 mL bottle of 5 Pawns eliquid (~$30). LOL. Depending on the percentage of nic, the cost will vary, which is why I say to do it on your own. Even buying it premade is super cheap (but really like paying someone to put ice in your glass of water).

I think ice is heavy rofl. :)

Let me do the heavy lifting for you! But to the OP, whatever you do, don't get sucked into or buy the hype from vendors like this that sell unflavored: ULTRApure E-Liquid 120ml Bottle-Unflavored: Your source for the best electronic cigarettes / personal vaporizers in the world. That is 120 mL of unflavored eliquid for $70 before shipping (and their unflavored 30 mL are ~$22+). What a racket!!!!!!!!!!!!! That should be seen as crime against vapers.

Yeah, and that's putting it mildly. I hear ya' though, I have't hardly mixed anything in over a month. I got a couple hundred flavors that I am not using and don't see when I am going to start using again. I DIYed my self crazy.

Yeah I think mt baker has 240(or close) ml
At 25mg nic and 50/50 or 70/30 at like 30 bucks

That's what the local shops charge for just 50ml of menthol ...and who knows what the mix is white a brick and mortar store

And I see that as too expensive, so the other is outlandish!
