Hello guys im new to this and this is my first post. I've been earching for this type problem but didn't find anything. So yesterday i got my Evic VTC mini (its my first vape btw), and i was pretty good. So when i got it home and I saw in google that there was a update for the firmware. But when i plug my vape in the PC, the PC doens't rcognise the vape. Im sure it's not the port or the cable. Im using Windows 7 and USB 2.0

Thank you!

Does it begin to charge with the cable ? (to try and see that the VTC port is OK - for power at least)

Have you tested a different data capable cable to be 100% positive the cable isn`t internally faulty (from the factory)

Have you tried a different USB Port (ie: all of them) - and plugging it in and out ?
(sounds silly, but I have to sometimes ;) )

I updated all my VTC Minis on Win 7 x64 via USB 2.0 ports successfully.

I`d be inclined to test everything exhaustively before thinking the VTC port was possibly at fault.

I do get a pop-up in the notification area that *a* USB device was attached - even if there`s no drivers needed for it - do you see any activity at all when plugging it in ?

Have you tried plugging it into a different computer...just to compare what happens ?

I don`t want to confuse matters any more than is necessary, but I wonder if you could use this 3rd party tool to test...

Uniform firmware for many devices - ArcticFox + NFirmwareEditor

Just to see if it`s recognised at least - this may help point out a problem with your Windows/software, an incompatibility somewhere.

If you`re not comfortable checking that out - then DON'T !

However unlikely, there is a possibility you could brick your evic, so standard disclaimer : at your own risk.. etc
