Hey there ! So ive started making mt own e juice and i find it to be bland and not sweet enough . I have a evic vtc mini (75w) and i generally build .5 ohm dual coils with 24g kanthal (and smoke at44-50 watts) would ethyl gunk up my coils faster than sucralose ? And how much percent of each would i have to use if say the ethyl was 10% , and the sucralose was 15% (in concentration)?

I think you have that Backwards. Sucralose will probably gunk up your coil Faster than Ethyl Maltol (EM).

I don't use EM because I can't make something Really Sweet before it starts to get this Meh Chemical Taste to it. There is Only so far you can Go with EM.

As to How Much Sucralose to use? Hard to say. But a LITTLE Goes a Very Long Way. I would try 4 Drops in 30ml of Flavored e-Liquid and see how it taste. If it Isn't Sweet enough, just add a Drop, Shake, and Vape. There is No Steeping Needed with Sucralose.

BTW - I would Only Suggest using a Sucralose Sweetener found where you but Vape DIY Supplies. Like The Flavor Apprentice (TFA) Sweetener.

And Don't use Grocery Store Sweeteners that are Sucralose "Based". Sucralose is SO SWEET, that products like Splenda are chucked full of Bulking Agents to increase the Volume you use.

Thank you for the quick response :) i have a local diy supplier that sells their home brand sucralose sweetener it is 15% apparently , so i think i will give this a try ! i guess a 30 ml bottle of it would last me quite a while lol i would of loved to not use any seeeteners at all , but i am just so used to the sweetness of the liquid i have been buying from my previous supplier before i got into DIY

Agreed with @zoiDman here! To much EM and your mix starts tasting like Cotton Candy! After all I think most Corton Candy flavored juice is usually EM at 10% or higher! LOL!

I much prefer Sucralose. It's usually just called "Sweetner" on most flavoring websites. I mostly use it at 1-2% in some of my liquids but I like my DIY a bit on the sweet side. It'll give you that sugary taste. I use it A LOT in (as an example) a coffee with milk and sugar eliquid.

There is also a "Super Sweet" which to me is just double strength Sweetner.

As said above it's a coil gunker but I use an RBA so I don't mind dry burning and rewicking once a day.

Personally I use EM, sweeteners have a bitter sorta taste for some people and EM seems to be good...

Never use more than 1% in a mix or it will become a coil killer... Generally I use 0.3-0.6% in my mixes except my watermellon it uses the full 1%...

The whole reason I got into DIY is because so many companies use sweeteners and they taste bitter/sour to me :(
