I have an eleaf istick 30w with a Nautilis mini, and love it. I use the mini because I like the 2.5mL to have a variety of flavors at a time. I am wanting to get another so that I can have two flavors going at a time, so I thought about getting the 50w for battery life. Bit I read it has it's issues, and to go with the 40w that does not have issues. I also read of some other batteries outside of the eLeaf brand that may be better. I think I want to stay with Nautilis for the tank, but have never tried anything else. Does anyone have any insight as to the best choices to assist with my decision?

Are you going to do Temp control? Even so if you get one with it you do not have to use it.
A few good ones. The Subox mini, the Evic VTC mini, those use replaceable 18650 batteries.
The Eleaf 40 gets good reviews. Yah I would avoid the eleaf 50 too but many have no problems with it.
The newer Clouper Mini's seem to be ok. The older ones not so good. Again a replaceable battery though. Which I personally like.
You could just get another Istick 30 if you like em?
Many people use and love em for straight lower wattage vaping.

I thought about getting the 50w for battery life
The 50 is a non built in battery unit.

Everything you mentioned is a trade off. If I needed longer battery life, I would go with my 40 to vape and have my 30 fully charged as a backup. I calculate the extra cost of batteries, charger, bat carrying case can be more expensive than the top of the line istick 40 w/ battery in the long run. Think about it. Drop the non istick mod or the istick and both break, one your out luck with no vape, the other you have a complete backup.
If you are sub ohming ignore the above. You will probably need a 2 bat married pair.

I also read of some other batteries outside of the eLeaf brand that may be better
Hope someone comes along that knows more about replaceable battery mods vs Isticks with built in's.

I decided to get a 100w istick that I could throw my tank on at work. Dripping on an unregulated mod just became tiresome when you drive for work. As far as regulated devices go, I've always tried to buy something I'm not going to push the limits all the time. On my tank I usually only vape around 50-60, so I'm only pushing the chip 50-60%. I would take this into consideration. Just FYI, you would need two 18650 batteries for this device that are not included. I ordered my 100 watt istick from "EcigAvenue." Got it in 3 days and payed under $40. For a "work mod", or an all day mod if you don't plan pushing the capabilities all the time, it's pretty solid and I have no complaints. I'm sure there's people that buy a 150 watt mod and push it all the time, I'm not saying you shouldn't, just my thought process to keep the chip from getting overloaded. Hope this helps. Stay safe.

I have a variety of mods: Sigelei 30w mini, IPV mini, iStick 50, iStick 60, iStick 100, and Evic VT. The IPV has been basically retired - the finish sux and I got tired of my fingers smelling like I've been handling pennies all day. With the recent addition of the iStick 60, I've basically retired the Sigelei. The Evic and the iStick 50 have been rock solid since day one and they have internal batteries that can't be removed. Both have pass-through so they can be used while they are charging. The iStick 60 and 100 have removable batteries and I have enough to have a charged set ready when the ones I'm using run out.

I generally vape on Kayfun V4s so I am at the low end of power usage (around 15-16 watts). I've always been about long battery life and the iStick 100 with a pair of 3000mah HG2's lasts a LONG time for me - usually around 2 full days. the iStick 50 and the Evic VT have 4200 and 5000 mah ratings and they last a long time for me too. The iStick 60 uses one battery so it is my "backup" mod that I take with me when I leave the house for work, etc. Always have backups.

I would recommend

Cloupor Mini Plus
Istick60tc
Evic VTC MINI.
IPV D2

and others that use 18650 batteries.

Avoid the istick40tc for three reasons.

1 internal battery
2. The manual says it only does TC with Nickel wire.
3. In TC mode iy is using full power 40 watts so the battery drains quickly.

All around the 60 TC is a better choice.

I have a Eleaf 40, 60, and bought another 60 TC.

Also I received the Cloupor Mini Plus I won from ECF.
