Just picked up a EhPro Dynast from Triangle Vapes. Very impressed at the performance and build quality considering it’s a $40 mod. Decent threading on the cap and base. The knurling on the outside is nicely done. The logo is on the shallow side, but not too bad. I think it would have looked better without any logo at all, but it’s not a deal killer for me.

It has silver coated contacts. The 510 connection is adjustable (screw) and can also adjust to eliminate battery rattle. Zero rattle with either Sony or MNKE 26650 batteries.

Love the switch! Very smooth and is recessed so you can set the device down without any concern about firing. Uses magnets rather than a spring. Very light touch needed. It does not have a locking ring, however. Again, not a deal killer for me since I’m not planning on lugging around a 26650 mod – it’s a home-use only device for me.

Pic with a Tobh 26650 clone. There’s a matching atty from EhPro that I didn’t get since it’s a 5 post design and I’m not a quad coil fan. Happy with my Tobh and a dual coil.

I received a Dynast from Venerable Vaping Dynast 26650 Mod & TYR 28.5mm RDA Combo a few days ago. It was more expensive where I bought mine. The reason I got it from there is because they had a sale on another mod called The Big Nasty, which I wanted to get too.

The Dynast looks nice, but I'm having a problem with it firing properly. Half the time I press the button, it doesn't fire. And when it does fire, there's a delay. I tried adjusting the positive pin screw, which eliminated the battery rattle. I also tried using two different kinds of batteries, the Sony and the MNKE, but that didn't help. The switch is very light and smooth, with a short throw.

The Big Nasty mod I bought has the same problem, but only 10% of the time. On the other hand, my HCigar Hades works fine. So overall, I'm not happy with the Dynast. I wouldn't buy it again if I had a choice. If anyone has a suggestion on how to correct this issue, please let me know.

Thanks.

Dom NY -- One thing to check is if the switch components are loose.

Unscrew the white insulator disk in the switch. Once removed, check to make sure the brass disk under it is screwed down. There’s holes in the disks so you can insert a small screwdriver (or similar) into the hole and snug it down.

Then replace the white insulator disk and make sure that is hand tight. The threads on that are plastic, so thread it carefully and only hand tighten.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for getting back to me. I'll give it a shot and let you know how I make out.
