eGo USB Passthrough batteries

Hey all - I made a realization that I might have wasted money by buying a $25 510 kit with 2 batteries (and atties, charger and whatnot) and an $18 USB Passthrough with a 10440 battery, and now I see that I could have gotten the USB Passthrough and battery all-in-one for $25, and even if it didn't come with the USB charger cable (which it does) I have every mini USB cable known to man, so I would be able to charge it/them easily. I could have easily purchased 2 of these for the same price that I purchased the kits at, and, avoided the USB passthrough altogether. Sure, I would have had to buy a few atties (or better yet, more cartomizers), but being able to vape all day (and my wife could probably vape one for 3 or 4 days at her current usage) would have been worth it. Since the wife is fairly happy with hers for the moment, I'll probably get these one at a time at this point.

Anyway, the device that I am looking at is this:
Joye eGo USB pushbutton battery

It is my understanding that these are fairly standard eGo USB batteries. Does anyone have any experience with these batteries? At 650mAh, I would expect them to last me far, far longer than the 30-45 minutes that I get on my standard 510 batts, and it would help kind of 'bridge the gap' until I can either purchase or build a big battery mod. Also, how comfortable is it to use while plugged in?

They're the same physical size as the 750mah batteries which is just a hair longer then the regular 650's due to the usb plug on the bottom. Using while plugged in is no problem. I've had mine for a couple weeks now and am really happy with it. I already had had 510 stuff too so I decided the USB one was my best bet no need for a whole kit when I already had atty's, and carts for the 510. Another good place to buy them is vaperite, $29 - 10% coupon code and Todd includes a cone with his. Personally I never use my cone anymore but some people prefer them.

Yes they maybe nice, but I would think that when the battery wears out you would have to get another one. My 510 with no battery passthru works great, is lighter and should last many times over what the ones with batteries should.

Quite true but to me the extra convenience is worth the extra few dollars. Going to be in the car for a few hours? Use it as a PT then still have a full battery when I get to my destination. The less extra stuff I have to cart around the better for me.

Thanks TL1000RSquid, it sounds like you bought it for pretty much the same reasons I'm looking at one.

Thanks also for the Vaperite tip, the inclusion of the cone is tempting, especially if it winds up being pretty close to the same price.

Thanks for the input OldDragon. I actually have the solution for that, too - next month probably, I'll be picking up a 5v Passthrough (if I can wait that long, lol), so I should wind up with a good variety of PVs to keep me going, for a while at least

I love mine. Vaping it as we speak. It gets me through a whole day at work plus some without recharging, and when at home I can just leave it plugged in. I barely use my 510 batteries anymore. My one concern is that I'm going to end up misplacing the cap for the end that covers the USB port. It's probably only a matter of time...

That is exactly why the eGo PT will be my next purchase. Besides, it'll give me an extra battery and those are always handy!

Okay, so I checked out Vaperite to see their deal, and I also noticed this:
900 mAh eGo batteries

Does it use the same universal mini-USB connection? If it does, I'd be stupid not to buy this one instead - I've got tons of mini-USB cables lying around.

The 900 isn't a pass through just a larger sized standard ego type battery, have to use the regular ego charger on it which means you can't use it while its charging. Don't forget VR10 for 10% off your orders there.

I've read a lot of good feedback on these devices elsewhere in the forums as well. Wish I'd known about this a week ago, but I guess we all have to go through this process

You'll know when something is a PT because the product description will either say it's a PT or a "sit 'n go". I got a little confused with that, too.
