Excellent post! Could not have said it better!

I find it really funny that everyone thinks that a "genuine" joyetech device somehow comes from a company NOT from China.
Go to the joyetech website and hit the "contact" button. "I'll NEVER buy no Chinese stuff"......"I'll only buy American"..

Where the heck do you think Shenzhen is?.......Texas?

Joyetech IS a Chinese company.....!!!!

There is NOTHING wrong with that. They make a good product. But it's simply a battery.......every company in China is making them because the rest of the world wants them. They're not "knock-offs"......they're duplicates. How hard is it to make a battery with a button?

I have about a dozen eGo batteries....they all work fine. Did they come from Joyetech?.....absolutely not.

Get over the knock-off thing......there's only about 300 companies making these things....and Joyeteck is one of them. Hell, they're probably selling a "Knock off" from the original design.......

I don't recall anybody in this thread saying that Joytech was an American company.

Are you also going to inform us that the SI Volt isn't a Chevy? :D

You are correct.
Cignot (an official Joytech dealer) has them https://www.cignot.com/product_p/egc-tw9-all.htm

Others that I have seen, like the one I likned to above from Vaporbeast are clones. If you want the "real deal" be very careful and make sure the company selling it is selling the origional Joye product. If you don't mind a clone then have at it.

Yeah there are a lot of knockoffs going around now and you can tell because they are usually 900mah, cheaper than anyone else's price, and they don't say EGO C Twist on the side.

My first PV was a KGO and it came with a charger that blinks. It's fine. They are designed that way, I think, for colorblind people like me who can't always tell the difference between red and green LEDs. When it stops blinking I know it's done regardless of what color I think it may be. Don't sweat it, it's supposed to do that and I think all good chargers should be the same way.

Sounds like a good charger. My Kgo kit came with the standard charger that just turns solid green when fully charged.

I want to make my point or position clear.
I'm not against clones like a Kgo vs an eGo, but especially in the case of more complex VV systems I like to see independent reviews of those clones before considering buying them. The clone may be just about identical feature wise and performance wise or it could be better or worse.

People can argue that a "Twistiedoodle" is the same as a Joytech Ego-C Twist because it holds to the same dimensions and is a battery with a knob, but if it regulates poorly or the knob falls off after a week it may not be worth saving the $2.00. But if it turns out that it has equal performance or is actually better then jump on the great deal.

So I appreciate sites like Vaporbeast that go out of their way to let you know that their "Twist" is not a Joytech eGo-C Twist, but a similar device made and distributed by another company. Without a site making that clear, a person may just see the word "Twist" and think they are getting the well established and reviewed item.

I bought the VaporBeast 900 mah Twist. I also have the joye 1000mah twist from Altsmoke.
I love that it isn't a friggin lightpole. It's about the same size as the KGo , which for me is a perfect size.
Functionally it is just as good as the Joyetech twist, with slightly (and very slightly at that) inferior fit and finish.
At $20 at Vapobeast.com, My opinion is that it's is a good buy.
Furthermore Vapobeast has thus far been an exemplary vendor to work with in three separate purchases.
My noob opinion, do it.

I bought one, too, not knowing the diff between any of the Egos. It was my first trek away from the SI Volt. I agree with that post - I like mine very much. It's solid and the price was right. But when I bought it, I did not realize it was a copycat. It might have affected my decision, but I would have missed out on a good product.

Joytech is one of the more popular brand names in China but their are 100's of manufactures that call their devices Ego's. I personally do not think Joytech is better than many other suppliers. Ive had a jotech version and the button broke. Lots Technology, the VaporBeast version has worked perfectly! To me personally, it's not an issue!
