Reading this thread and the more I'm thinking about it I just had to chime in again. I say hormonal changes and detoxing cigg garbage! The first 2 months I had weird breakouts, not too bad (but there) on my face...most notably weird was on my scalp. I could just sit here and feel little painful bumps on my head through my hair that I would pick at and say "hmmm, weird". Also my skin was a bit dehydrated from the PG. Month 3all died down and my face and head are bump free at almost 4 months! I smoked almost 2 packs a day for 23 years...you KNOW that gunk permeated our very being and our bodies are thanking us!

I've felt that too in my scalp and I had one on my earlobe like someone else was saying. I think if it was the pg juice I would be experiencing breakouts on more of my body. It seems local to my face. It seems like things are calming down now hopefully that trend will continue

I have exactly what you stated in your 1st post. Bad acne around my jawline, on my cheeks, behind my ears, and on my earlobe(?!?!??). My skin is exceptionally dry on my forehead, scalp, right around my nose, legs, and torso. I also feel thirsty constantly but can't bring myself to gulp water as I can taste the bitty amount of clorine (sp?) they use to kill bacteria in the water. Yes, I'm drinking filtered water but it still has something in it to kill bacteria - can't stand the flavor. BTW: I have been vaping exclusively since Oct 13th - 70-80%PG/20-30%VG premixed cartomizers.
I've tried many different shampoos/conditioners (including a vinegar mix recipe I found online), and moisterizers/cleaners. All to no avail. I am really considering going to a dermatologist because this is rediculous. I never had acne this bad as a teenager. Yes, bumps you can feel "coming on" and sometimes can't do anything about. Not alot of visible pore clogs (blackheads)though - which is weird.

Itchy rash with swelling around the neck and exposed neck line. Red hot and blistery when it first came on. I initially thought it was a reaction to a blue scrubbie mod but im swinging towards a pg intolerance. 24 hours in anti histamines have settled it a lot but still annoying.

Why the throat and neck line, i think its the exhaled vapor irritating the skin, exhale into a oncoming breeze and where does the vapor go, you guessed it. I also had minor irritations around the body where i had wiped juice on my shirt. New mods being messy beasts and all.

While im waiting for some straight vg juice its all exhaling downwind and limiting skin contact with juice for me. Zero reaction for the first week and came on very quickly, hence my initial blame of the mod material.

Same here.. Boils and sometimes they can be painful. Mostly on my face but some on my back.

Im not entirely sure yet but Im starting to think it's worse when Im vaping vg.

If Im not mistaken Rath juice is VG, and thats what I first started vaping.

For awhile I was vaping both Johnson Creeks red oak (VG) and their regular line which is PG.

I was still getting the acne and boils but not as bad as before I ran out of Rath juice.

The other day after waffle was back in stock I went and picked up a few bottles.

After one night of direct dripping waffle juice I woke up the next day with a fairly severe outbreak. So I am starting to wonder if its related to VG.

Still can't be completely sure until I make a concentrated effort and actually log the results after a couple days of VG compared to PG.

And i forgot to add that I quit smoking at the same time that I started vaping.

This was between this last XMas and New Years.

I did read that when you quit smoking that Acne can be an issue as your body goes through its natural Detox.

It's March now and perhaps that's what is still happening. Not sure though as I didn't find much info on how long that should last.

I'm glad it's not just me because my skin looks so much worse and older since I quit smoking. It's been five months and I'm still waiting for the healthy glow and diminished wrinkles that are claimed on every health website in articles about what happens when you quit smoking. Bleh. It's all lies. Either that or I have some freakish skin that was actually benefitting from tobacco smoke! 8-o

I've been noticing that when i use juice with 20% VG (or more) i break out badly on my face - jawline and ears. My face also feels really greasy, like i just want to keep washing it.

When I use full PG or even 10%VG my skin is completely clear and better than I can remember it ever looking.

I thought this was happening awhile ago and went back to full PG. This weekend I tried some of the 20%VG juices again, and back to acne and greasy feeling. Think I've learned my lesson. Just PG for me from now on. Unfortunately my best tasting juices have VG :(. Guess I'll just have to order some more

I've been breaking out since I started vaping, and I very highly doubt that it's the analog toxins. I quit smoking a little over 10 years ago for about 1-1/2 years and don't remember anything like this. I really think it's the kind of juice I use, which is mostly Dekang. One of their flavors just happens to be my favorite. A few week ago, though, I had a sample pack from another place and was also using some juice that probably wasn't Dekang (therefore not using very much Dekang at all for a couple of weeks), and I really think my skin cleared up. What juice are you guys using? (I hope you didn't say, because I didn't read every single word of every post here.) Maybe we can narrow it down by that.

I am in week 4 now of vaping, and ya, i broke out pretty bad too, worse than Ive had for a while, that's for sure, and I have developed a rash on my elbow which was quite strange. maybe nothing to do with vaping or smoking, but after reading everything here. I think it is probably related to quitting, the rash on my elbow also looks quite dry with bumps. My face is starting to clear up, but i have to train myself not to pick, or it just gets worse...ya I'm such a picker....its in the family genes...oh and ya. i got good and sick after quitting, but ive heard that alot of people get sick with colds or flu shortly after quitting. guess i just dotn have all those toxins in me to fight off everything my son brings home with him..

I (or rather my partner) first noticed THIS a couple of months ago. I've been vaping for quite a while, since Feb 09 and we always use white towels in the bathroom for after the shower. Mine takes on a rather dull yellow appearance on the patches where I use it the most to dry myself  after about a week. It would not be noticable with coloured towels, but with white towels it really is quite noticable!! and never used to be like that. It's nothing major at all but something's being secreted through the skin? Is nic yellow? I vape 50:50 VG PG 14mg Eastmall strawberry flavour!!
Apart from this, only other symptom I ever got was sore neck/clav muscles...poor posture on laptop?
Since Feb 09, haven't touched an analog. Patches, willpower, gum...useless. Vaping allowed me to quit an 18 year smoking habit.

I think it's just the oils in your skin and has nothing to do with vaping. The same thing happens to my towel (but not my husband's) and it's been happening since long before I ever even heard of vaping. Not only can my skin darken a white towel, it bleaches a dark towel. My skin is apparently quite powerful! My hubby's skin does not discolor towels, but it eats through leather watch bands. So maybe his skin is even more powerful than mine 8-o

I have very sensitive skin. I have to be really careful what products I buy, like shampoo, lotion, etc. I've found that the Suave brand works best for me. Their lotion is wonderful!

So when I fill my carts, I use gloves (not Latex, I'm allergic to it). I usually buy a box of 50-100 vinyl, or the purple nitrile gloves for doing other things around the house, so I decided to use gloves right from the start with my carts. With my skin, I never know if I'll have a reaction to something or not.

I recon you're right :), the skin (largest organ) does some amazing things, especially to towels!
